About Me
Hi my name is Lorraine and I live in the Mount Gould area of Plymouth. I am Ofsted Registered and offer Term Time Only Care.
I am 49 years old, I live with my husband Steve and son Charlie 15. I have 3 older children and have 4 grandchildren.
We live in Mount Gould next to Tothill Park.
My home environment is warm and welcoming to children and parents/carers. It is safe and secure with space organised and used to promote childrens development.
I live in a large spacious house with a big garden for outdoor activities. I have recently opened up an extra room downstairs and turned it into a wonderful playroom where the children have access to toys, role play, arts and crafts etc.
We also have the front room and dining room where we can have quiet time
I look after children of all ages from birth up to teens.

My Experience
I have been a Childminder since November 2010 and I have had plenty of experience with my own children of which one has adhd and our youngest has additional needs.
We have plenty of activities indoors and outdoors to do, such as painting ,baking, reading,dancing,arts and crafts and many many more.
For the little ones I aim to let them play with activities aimed at their ages and abilities. I work within the EYFS framework.
I have resources for all ages and am updating these all the time.
We also have 3 play parks nearby.
We sometimes attend local playgroups, soft play centres, the Aquarium, other local attractions.
I am also a driver with business Insurance.

I could not recommend Lorraine more as a childminder. She has cared for my son for two years and her house is like a second home to him. Lorraine is always very friendly and efficient and makes the children feel like one of the family. As a single mother I have found her invaluable as a childminder. She works with you and helps as much as she can. Lorraine provides a loving and fun atmosphere - an amazing play room, a fabulous garden and so many creative projects throughout the year! I can't say how much my son and I are going to miss her now my son has started preschool. You cannot do better.

Lorraine is lovely, incredibly friendly and so good with the kids. She has a big garden that my daughter loved and a fantastic play room. She's always trying different activities with the children - messy play, going to the park or making things to name a few! I've got various keepsakes that my daughter made whilst with Lorraine. She is also reliable and very accommodating. My daughter always had so much fun and always loved being there.
Now my daughter is a little older she stills asks after Lorraine and if she can go to her house again soon. I felt completely at ease whilst my daughter was there.
I would highly recommend Lorraine to anybody :)

Just wanted to say how brilliant Lorraine is with my daughter. I have known her and she has provided after school/half term childcare for my daughter for nearly two years now. My daughter loves to spend time at Lorraines house, she has a wide variety of activities, lovely play room and enourmous garden that caters for everything my daughter enjoys.
Lorraine is very friendly, accomodating ans has a child centred approach with what she does. She loves to take the children to the beach, soft play and the park as well as getting messy with indoor activities and festive activities.
HIGHLY RECCOMEND :)

This is just a note to say that lorraine, is highy skilled, realible and friendly around my three children...she is outstanding as a childminder and will never use anyone else as they coudnt even come close on skills and friendlyness.
Well done you loz...Im proud yr my minder ! xx
