About Me
I run a professional, friendly, welcoming, flexible, fun and caring Ofsted Registered Childminding service during Somerset term times. Graded outstanding in both 2015 and 2020. All our activities are based around the individual needs of the children so they are able to learn and develop at their own pace within a loving and nurturing home environment. I live in Bishops Lydeard with my husband, we have 3 boys (21, 19 & 15) and a dog. Our Home is wheelchair accessible and provides lots of space for playing and learning, both inside and out. We have lots of fun doing messy/sensory play, crafts, cooking, singing and more! We go out and about in the local area, to the beach, the woods, parks, gardens etc so your child gains a wide variety of experiences whilst coming to Katy’s House.
My Experience
I have always worked with children and worked as an Early Years Teacher until I had 3 children of my own. I have worked in a pre school setting and been childminding for over 16 years. I have some experience of caring for children with additional needs and disabilities and am happy to use cloth nappies if you have chosen to use them. I have been involved with GirlguidingUK and the Scout Association, both helping and running units.

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.00 per hour
Daily, short daily and after school rates available. I accept employer childcare vouchers, Tax Free vouchers and am registered to take government 2 year and 3 & 4 year old funding.
