About Me
I am a registered childminder and also NNEB trained nanny. I have 3 sons, two of which live at home aged 25 and 16. I live in Godinton park and drop off and collect children from Godinton School. I live in a 4 bedroomed house within walking distance from the school and nursery.
The downstairs of my home is used for childminding and I also have a large playroom which can be accessed via the back garden.
I have 3 tortoises which roam freely in the garden and the children have access to if they so wish, and also a seven year old beagle who absolutely adores the children.
In my setting I believe it is important to help children to enjoy learning and achieve as much as they can during their time here. Childrens time in my care should be happy and productive. We regularly visit the library, forest school and sure start centres to give the children in my care the opportunity to experience different environments and meet new people. I offer enabling environments and learning opportunities in the seven areas of learning and development.
I try to build learning into everyday activities such as cooking, and baking. We do lots of art and craft activities such as painting, play dough water beads and many more sensory activities.we sing dance play instruments and imaginary play, and regularly visit forest school to learn and enjoy the world around us.
My setting combines all the benefits of a nursery but with the added benefits of lots of outings,a loving home environment and the consistency of having one key person (me) to replace the parents while they are working. This enables the children in my care to make firm relationships, gain trust and feel secure.
I am very passionate about giving the best possible care and service to my parents and children.
My Experience
I have worked with children most of my adult life either as a nanny, or working in a nursery, mother to three children and now as a childminder and grandmother.
My Qualifications
NNEB qualified Full Driving licence. ICO registered
First aid Trained DBS
My Availability
I have one Early years space available on Tuesday and Thursday 7.30 - 5

I also do before and afterschool drop off and collection from Godinton Primary School
I provide a hot meal for all my after school children and lunch for all full timers which is included in my fees.

My Fees
- Childminding from £6.00 per hour
Early years places £6.00 per hour
Before and after school places £5.25 per hour minimum of 3 hours with hot meal included.
