My Experience

When I left school I went to college to qualify to be a nursery nurse and as such I worked in various settings including private day nurseries (baby & toddler rooms); A children's ward (Stafford hospital) & Primary school (Reception & year 1).

I also worked over several summers for the local authority running Summer play schemes for children in the borough.

I have been childminding for over 6 years now and was rated "Outstanding" by Ofsted in June 2016.

I am the founder and company director of a fitness and exercise club for kids called "Groovy Moovers" - A before school fitness club specifically aimed at children aged 4-10years.

I have a daughter of my own and several nephews and nieces who I see regularly.

I also have experience teaching college students and hold a level 4 teaching qualification.

My Availability

Current hours (2018)
* I am currently only providing BEFORE & AFTER school care (Milking Bank Primary School pupils only) & occasional OVERNIGHT CARE. I also offer SCHOOL HOLIDAY CARE.

I am currently taking applications for childcare.
Please note: I do offer School holiday care only - no term contract required (Holiday care is offered 3 days a week - Mon-Wed).

Normal hours:
* Mon - Friday 8am - 6pm (Normal hours)
* I can work outside of those hours but an out of hour rate would apply.
* I do NOT work bank holidays (but these are chargeable)
* Out of hours (Including overnight) - Flexible (days/times to be agreed between minder & parents).
* I do not currently work weekends.

My Fees

• Childminding from £4.50 per hour

BEFORE & AFTER SCHOOL RATES: £4.50 per hour - 8.00am-6.00pm (term time only)

SCHOOL HOLIDAY RATE: £5.00 per hour - 8.00am-6.00pm (school age children)

OUT OF HOURS RATE: £7.00 per hour - Out of hrs are: 6am-8am & 6pm-10pm

WEEKEND RATE: £7.00 per hr - 8.00am-6.00pm / £10.00 per hr - out of hours. Available only now and then and not every weekend (NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE)

OVERNIGHT STAY: £28.00 per night/per child (Overnight rate - fee applies from hrs 10pm-6am - it is a fixed fee per night per child - no sibling discounts will be given). If children are staying with me overnight they must arrive by 10pm and cannot be collected until 6am the following day.
Note: I have the right to refuse overnight stays. If your child doesn't settle well at night e.g. wets bed, suffers with night terrors, sleepwalks or wakes several times a night, it is likely I will refuse such care. In order to safeguard the children that I care for during the daytime hours it is essential that I get a reasonable amount of sleep at night.

24 HOUR CARE: Fixed fee £80.00 per child OR £150.00 for 2 children.

ADDITIONAL COSTS:
EVENING MEAL (Cooked meal) = £1.50 per evening meal served at 6pm (All other meals, snacks & drinks are provided free of charge. Note: Baby formula must be provided by parents).

SPECIAL DAY TRIPS (these are usually organised in school holidays) - Variable rates. But all would be discussed with parents in advance and the option to take part or not, will be given.

PRIVATE TUTORING (Done in my home): £20 per hour.

GROOVY MOOVERS RATE (Runs on Thurs mornings during term time only at Milking Bank School from 8am - 8.45am) - £3.00 per session. These sessions are only available to children who attend Milking Bank school.
