About Me
Hi my name is Jess. I am a qualified primary school teacher with five years experience working in an inner-city primary school.
I am DBS checked, trained in Basic Life Support, have a Childcare Level 3 qualification and have lots of experience working with children in various capacities. I also have experience working with children with English as an additional language and children with SEN, including autism and ADHD.
I am able to provide personal tuition to all primary school aged children.

My Experience
I have experience with a variety of age groups. I have taught Year 1 for five years and am particularly experienced in the teaching of phonics, early reading/writing and maths. I have also taught other primary school year groups and have led a Year 6 SATs revision study session.
My other experience working with children include a number of years babysitting (children from 8 months+), working at a youth centre with 6-9 year olds, working in a pre-school (3-5 years), as a classroom assistant (4-6 year olds), at a holiday play scheme (4-12 years) and as a mentor to Year 7 students (11 year olds) helping them to make the transition from primary to secondary school. I also spent 4 months in Ghana where I worked in an orphanage and taught at a school.
