About Me
My name is Alison and I am an Ofsted registered childminder based in Sherborne St. John near Basingstoke. I have been child minding for 25 years. And have two children. I provide a happy home environment for children to learn and play which includes a large enclosed garden with a vast range of outdoor toys. We do lots of activities which cover the 7 learning areas of the EYFS which include arts and craft activities, cooking and outdoor adventures.
I can offer 15 hour funding and 30 hour funding from September for 3-4 year olds and can accept all childcare vouchers.
My Experience
I have worked in childcare for over 30 years. Preciously being a private nanny before becoming a registered childminder. I have experienced a wide range of children of all ages and abilities.

Alison has been a fantastic childminder to our daughter, and has looked after her since she was 6 months old. Alison always carries out varied and exciting activities for the children every day, and every day is different! Our daughter loves going to Alison’s and we are so lucky to have had her help in caring for our little girl. I wholeheartedly recommend Alison’s childminding services.

My daughter has been looked after by Alison for the last 2years. I feel so lucky to have found her. She is such a loving, caring person and I feel confident that my daughter is well looked after and safe in her care. Alison is always doing lovely activities and crafts with the children. My daughter loves going to Alison’s. I feel very lucky to have found Alison.

Alison looked after my daughter before and after school and I have no hesitation in recommending her. The only reason for my daughter not being with Alison currently is that I am on maternity leave.
My daughter settled into Alison’s care very quickly. Alison makes all the children feel at home and makes a lot of effort to ensure that the children have a range of activities available to them after school. I felt comfortable and confident leaving my child in Alison’s care.

I have 4 children 3 of which Alison has looked after. Alison has had the 2 youngest from newborn until they went to school and they now go back in the holidays. They are 5 and 9. She is a kind and caring lady who looks after the children like they are her own. I would really recommend anyone using Alison to look after their children ?

Alison has looked after both my children from age 1. She is organised and child focused, flexible and approachable. She provides suitable activities for the children, making the most of the local facilities and outdoor spaces. She is keen to support both verbal and numerical development, and keeps good records to share with us on a regular basis.

Alison has had both of my children from a very young age and she has been fantastic, she does many activities with them, all the right age learnings, up to date folders, arts and crafts and so much more. I cannot fault Alison in anyway as her attention, safety and care for the child is 100%, my son and daughter are always very happy and excited to see her. I would without a doubt recommend her.
