Hello, My name is Simonetta.
I live and work as a childminder in the Niddrie community.
I am a registered child minder under the name Danette.
I aim to provide a safe place for children at home where children can explore and develop new skills.
Children's safety is paramount at all times, whether at home or out and about in the community. This I hope will exceed parent’s expectations, and I welcome most age groups of children, preferably 1 to 12 years of age.

I returned to work after 12 years of being a stay at home mother of three so to say I was anxious about who I would get to take care of my children was an understatement however by magic I found Simonetta and her family who have been the most lovely family to get to know and work with. My son and daughter both love Simonetta and all the new and exciting things she does with them on a weekly basis. So needless to say I am able to go to work with the knowledge that my children are being very well cared for in a safe and respectful environment!

We couldn’t be happier with our choice!
We were so nervous as when our baby started he was only 13 months old but as soon as he met Simonetta he was at easy and so were we. She provide wonderful, creating and educational Montessori style activities in a save environment at home. But also takes Oliver out to parks, museums and his favourite thing is school pick up where he’s joined by other lovely children she look after. She provide healthy snacks and lots of videos/pics during the day. I know my baby is safe and have lots of fun when at Simonetta so I 100% recommend her service!

Simonetta is a very wonderful person. I accompanied my son for a year and it was the best experience I have had in child care. I am very grateful for all the help you gave me this year and with his great patience he helped me with my son's behavior. I really like his work because he taught my son many new things. thank you so much. we are going to miss you.

Thank you for the review of your experience in our setting.
Simonetta is a wonderful childminder, my little girl is so happy to go there every morning! She plans a lot of activities for the kids and is also very attentive to their personal development. Since my daughter started there, she has progressed a lot with her motor skills and has also developed her vocabulary! I really liked Simonetta's approach when we first started. She gave my daughter some space to discover and come to her in her own time. As a result, my daughter felt comfortable with her very quickly. Simonetta also took the time to discuss with my husband and I to understand our rhythm with our daughter and where she was at in her development. We felt she had a sincere interest in understanding her needs and how she could help her pursuing her development. Simonetta is very caring and attentive to our little one, and I'm in full confidence when leaving her for the day! She is also communicating very well and even if I am away from my daughter during the day, I feel like I am not missing any bits of her development. Thank you Simonetta!

Thank you for your feedback on your experience of using my setting.
My little daughter enjoys going to Simonetta’s so so much. She is excited everytime she get to come to her house (as well as get upset when weekends come).
Simonetta’s house is so lovely with lots of space for the children, including a big garden that looks like a mini park. She is caring and trustworthy, i dont have to worry a tiny bit when dropping my little treasure off her place. Simonetta also organizes lots of activities for the kids and takes them places.

Thank you for the review of your experience in our setting.
Simonetta has looked after my daughter when I got my job and didn't have childcare, and I cannot rate her highly enough.
My daughter loves her to bits and I always feel so at ease when I know she is with her. Simonetta provides a warm, caring, nurturing environment and you really feel like your child is treated like a extension of her family. Simonetta often takes the children for trips, which my daughter loves. Simonetta is helpful, flexible and has got me out of a few tricky childcare situations! Thank you Simonetta for being amazing!

Simonetta is a great childminder I had just started a new job just a few weeks before schools broke up and didn’t know where I was gonna put my daughter, then I found simonetta. As soon as I met with her to discuss details I knew I found the perfect person for my daughter and me, she loved every minute of Simonetta’s care and most times didn’t want to leave. It was great to know while I was at work my daughter was happy and well looked after, she enjoyed all the days out to the museum, castle, beach etc and the days in baking, painting, splashing etc and of course the new friends she made.
