My Experience

I have worked within a nursery setting for over 3 years. Previous to this I studdied childcare at college working within a variety of different placements with children ages between 0-8 years old. I have a level 3 qualification in working with children and young people.

I also have two years experience in a nanny role for a family of three children which were of mixed ages from a baby and two older aged children. This included school drop offs, sole charge care of the baby through out the day, washing and ironing their clothes and attensing play groups. I also used to prepare and cook the children nutritious meals and help them with their reading and any home work they may have been assigned. Sometimes when needed I also stayed over night with the children when the parents had a busy work schedule and were required to work over night.

My most recent job was working full time looking after twins for 2 years. I first started looking after them at 5 months old so I got to help them with lots of their developmental milestones including weaning, crawling, speaking English as a second language, walking and even potty training. I also travelled with the family and twins which was an amazing experience! I also prepared and cooked the twins nutritional meals, took them on days out, to play groups, bath them and even put them down for bed some evenings if the parents had to work late.

I now have 2 boys of my own and am looking to return to work. Sadly I am no longer needed to return to my previous nannying family due to the twins now attending school so my help is no longer required. I am therefore looking to return to work between the hours of 9 & 14.30 so I am able to do the preschool run for my two children.
