About Me
My name is Mais. I live with my 10 year old daughter.
I am a qualified and registered social worker. I have a background of working for 5 years in child protection. I have recently left my job of 12 years as a hospital social worker at QA hospital .
I am a qualified childminder and I am OFSted registered.
I offer care for early years during 7.30 and 6.00pm
I offer breakfast and after school care, I can undertake school drop off and collections from Crifton Hammond infant school and Crofton Hammond junior school. I also offer school holiday care.
I offer adhoc and short term care from 7.00 -6.00 for children from birth- to starting school.
I can work outside of my set hours if required.
I am also registered to provide overnight care.
I am a fun person with a love of children. I enjoy getting to know children and help them to reach their full potential according to their own interests.
I will aim to help your child experience a safe and fun environment while they are in my care.
My Experience
I have been a parent myself for the past 25 years.
My son is 25 and is now a senior microbiologist. I currently home educate my 10 year old daughter.
When my son was little I was childminder for 3 years and worked in a nursery setting for 6 years.
I was previously employed as a qualified child protection social worker for 5 years and hold a sound understanding of safeguarding children and have worked at QA hospital for the past 12years as a social worker. I have left the job to take up childminding full time.
I have a large family and friend network which provides lots of opportunity for interaction with many children including 15 nieces and nephews , god children and children from my friends network. At the weekends I frequently look after children for friends and family..
I am also a holistic therapist and am keen to promote mindfulness with children on my setting . I am awaiting my teaching yoga to children training , which has currently been delayed due to Covid.

My Availability
I offer before school/ pre school care , breakfast and school drop to Crofton Hammond infant school and Crifton Hammond junior school . I can drop to local nursary and pre schools after school drop off.
This will be available Monday to Friday from 7.30 until school drop off
Collection and After school care Monday to Friday from school collection until 6.00pm
I will be offering school holiday care this will be Monday to Friday 7.30 until 6.00pm. I will be offering the options of full day , mornings or after noon sessions
I offer the hours 7.00-6.00 for children from birth to starting school . The care I offer is for adhoc or short term care. I may consider shift work.
I can also provide evening care and overnight stays and inset days

My Fees
- Childminding from £4.50 per hour
Please contact me for fees as they vary depending on care requested. My before and after school care is charged by session not hourly.
