About Me
I am a qualified and registered childminder offering a friendly home from home setting, known as 'Cheeky Monkees' I am based in Gabalfa, Cardiff offering full and part time vacancies including school runs from Gabalfa Primary and Ysgol Glan Ceubal, including school holiday care. I operate Mon-Thursday 8am-5.30pm however can be flexible to suit needs.
I am 43 years old with 2 children of my own. My eldest lives in London and my youngest is studying her A Levels. I live with my partner who has 3 children who visit us on weekends. We have a very friendly dog called Stanley who is a ShihTzu cross Cockapoo and is 5 years old. Stanley isvery much used to having children about the house.
I have always been passionate about children, how they learn and grow, so I decided to take this interest further and make it my career, which I am thoroughly enjoying and find it very rewarding.

I have been childminding for 9 years now and I work closely with other local childminders attending play groups etc where we help and guide each other and help to answer any questions we may have. I keep up to date with CIW and other relevant companies with weekly newsletters received via email.
I aim to provide a service where children learn in a safe and secure home based environment. The children's learning and development will be met through play which will range from drawing, painting, cooking, crafting to visits to the park, farms, museums, libraries and much more. I also have an allotment just 2 minutes walk from the house where I regularly take the children to play and learn to grow our own fruit and veg. This is extremely rewarding and the children thoroughly enjoy. I set themes which our activities are set around. This ranges from Christmas and Easter, to Mothers/Fathers Day and then a wider theme for Seasons and many more.
My Qualifications
I have completed and passed the CYPOP 5 course along with First Aid and Food Hygiene.
