Hi,
My name is Lisa Corroll and I run a home based childcare setting called En5 Childcare.
I work as part of a team with another local childminder and assistant which our previous and current families have found extremely reassuring with more hands on deck and flexibility.
About me.
I am a mother to 4 lovely children aged 6,11,16 and 18 giving me a wealth of experience with children from birth up.
I have been childminding from home for over 5 years now and love it. Never has a job been so rewarding:)
Previous to becoming a registered childminder I worked as a Teaching Assistant for 11 years supporting children aged 3-11. I also worked for Camden play service and building bridges supporting vulnerable children outside the home and school setting.
I have attending various training courses to continue my knowledge and learning to help my own professional development supporting and caring for children.
About the setting.
We are based at the bottom of Quinta Drive making us a great location for anyone coming from Borehamwood/Elstree or neighbouring areas. Also 184 bus stop on road heading to High Barnet tube station or New Barnet Train station and just a 5 min walk to Barnet hospital.
We are an inclusive,fun,small setting that is well resourced offering children the opportunities and potential to grow and develop with their in individual needs in mind. Being a smaller setting we can provide the environment your child needs to thrive both physically and emotionally.
We use a balance of structured focused activities as well as child led/initiated play incorporating needs/interests into our learning. We have a dedicated play room with direct access into a large garden and sheltered outside play area making sure we can use outside in all weathers.
We love to get out and are members of Willows Farm, Paradise Wildlife Park and often visit groups.
We visit our local woods every week setting up forestry type activities that the children love supporting their learning and knowledge of our local area and the outdoors.
We work to the development matters scheme and follow the guidelines of the EYFS framework ensuring your child is regularly observed and that their next steps of development are followed through.
I currently do school pick ups from Whitings Hill School and am within close proximity of this school.
I currently work off an online system called Babysdays that creates daily diaries and updates of what we get up to during our days with simple notifications to an app that’s downloadable to most smart phones which is a real success with parents and ofsted ensuring that parents are kept in the loop daily.
We have recently had Ofsted inspections which have found us securely good in all areas and meeting all ofsted requirements expected.
We offer some pick up and drop off services in the morning and evening that could possibly be discussed if needed.

I have various different experiences in working with children ranging from being a TA working with all years from nursery up to year 6, and play service provider for a large London borough but most importantly being a Mother myself.
I have worked and supported children of all different academic and social levels.

My daughter attended Lisa’s childcare setting from ages 1 to 3 and enjoyed every minute! Lisa was patient and kind while letting her settle in which was really reassuring as a parent and allowed us to feel comfortable leaving her there from the off.
During her time there, my daughter thrived both socially and developmentally, it was the perfect preparation for pre-school. Lisa organised fun and engaging activities as well as trips out to local parks, farms and activities all of which were documented on an easy to use app. She provided healthy and nutritious meals and snacks as well.
Lisa has been invaluable to us as a family, we feel so lucky that we found her :)

We started with Lisa 5-6 months ago, when our baby was 11 months and we couldn't be happier!
To begin with, Lisa offered a very big transition period before we start, for my baby to settle in their own time and this had as a result my baby to have the most smooth and great transition possible! He is been happy everyday since then! Lisa is also very organised, puts huge effort to set up activities for the children everyday and takes them to trips all the time. She makes sure they are safe by having both an assistant but also cooperating with a another childminder as well, which means that in the trips they are actually three adults there. She also has amazing communication skills, updates with photos, she has a clean and organised home and lovely garden and she actually puts effort to offer the children countless of toys and equipment, and she and her family are genially good people and my baby loves them and is soo happy.
We highly recommend her!

We were new to Barnet and following a tough few months with our little boy Romy, we found Lisa on this website. I often joke that Lisa came into our lives when we needed help and she made it all better. She’s literally an angel.
The way that Lisa approaches her work and my baby is beyond professional. She feels part of the family and I am so grateful for everything she does for us and Romys development.
She takes the kids out most days, stimulates their learning in such a fun but applied way, focusing on real life learning as well as academic. Lisa also uses an app so you can be kept up to speed on what your child has done, down to nap times and toilet visits!
Romy has a healthy varied food plan and actually eats more food with Lisa than us! We had a really long settling in period which meant that the transition to me going back to work was as easy as possible. Now we are potty training and again, nothing is ever too much trouble.
Romy also loves (as do we) Claire who helps Lisa, and again Claire is a part of our family and babysits for us at weekends.
Lisa goes over and above and I can’t recommend EN5 Childcare enough and it will be a very sad day when Romy is too old to go.

We were recommend Lisa by a friend for our two children & we couldn’t be happier!
Lisa provides such a wonderful home from home environment which our children love and as do we.
Each day they take part in fun activities indoors and outdoors, they go to the farm and to the local area to explore, which is fantastic and the children love it!
Finding someone you trust to leave your children with each day is such an important thing to do & we are so so happy we found Lisa! Our children are more than happy to be with her each day and it’s lovely to know that.
Lisa provides daily updates through the Babydays app & we can see what the children get upto each day. She also helps us with nursery drop off and pick ups & wrap around care.
Her communication and help is great and she will always keep us in the loop with anything we need to know.
We couldn’t be happier with Lisa and her team & we highly recommend her to all!!

So glad that we found Lisa. My little girl went to Lisa when she was 9months old and I was unsure with covid and isolating how she would adapt but Lisa made the whole experience so smooth. She provided a settling in period that catered to my little girl and was very accommodating with naps and bottles etc.
Each day my little girl is there daily updates are provided on naps, meals and toileting etc via an app which also includes photos of the lovely activities they are doing or places they go too. Lisa is such a kind and caring person and puts so much effort into the children’s development. Lisa is very organised and provides a very safe and nurturing setting. I would highly recommend on the experience my little girl and I have had x

We count our lucky blessing everyday that we found such an incredible person to look after our son.
He started when he was just under a year old in the midst of the covid pandemic. He didn’t settle in nursery and I was so incredibly grateful when someone recommended Lisa to me. He settled so quickly with her since day one and has developed into such a wonderful little being with her guidance and support.
She is the warmest, kindest most trustworthy person. She had a lovely set up at home to accommodate children of all ages. They get the opportunity to go out daily on visits to the park, woods, willows farm. They have structured learning activities which cover a huge variety of topics and cultural themes. My son brings home lovely pieces of artwork and we get a constant stream of photos and updates to see what they have been up to during the day.
She goes above and beyond to be accommodating especially in a forever changing environment that the covid pandemic forced upon us.
I can not recommend her highly enough!

My little boy started with Lisa when he was around 14 months old. Lisa arranged multiple settling in sessions for Henry so that both he and I felt comfortable. This took all the stress out of my first day back at work, just knowing that Henry was happy and well cared for made everything so much less stressful.
My little boy loved attending Lisa's, she is welcoming and really knows the children she cares for inside out. Lisa would know if Henry was having an 'off day' and would always let me know if she had any concerns. I also got daily updates about sleeping and nappies and regular photo's which always made me smile during my working day.
Lisa is very organised sending out menu's and themes ahead of the week. The menu was always varied and Henry always came home nice and full. Lisa is very imaginative, thinking of trips out and activities relating to the weekly themes. Policies and procedures are all accessible on the Baby's Days app, including medicine management, sickness, absence etc.
When I started my search for childcare Henry was only 4 months old and I could not imagine him in a nursery setting, instead seeking a more homely environment. I can honestly say that I could not have asked for more in a childcare setting. Lisa shared in Henry's triumph's and development and I never had any concerns when he was in her care.
Henry only left Lisa's as we were moving out of the area, if I could have taken her with me, I would!

We found Lisa on a mums group as she came highly recommended!
Lisa is an outstanding childminder in every respect. She is warm and has a loving home and takes very good care of our daughter Freya. She has given Freya a very stable environment and setting which was vital for us as Freya struggled to go to anyone during lockdown. Lisa was key in enabling her to interact with others and making her feel happy and safe in a different environment to her home setting.
She is very understanding and very helpful and flexible with all our needs and understands the issues of working parents.
Lisa goes above and beyond to make sure the children have fun from messy play at home to trips to the local farms and museums! We could not recommend her enough, she has been absolutely perfect

Lisa is an amazing childminder, she is so welcoming and my son loved the time he spent with her, which made drop offs a comfort to me. The setup in her home is great, the children not only have a wonderful playroom but a large outside play area with so many fun activities. Lisa spends so much time being creative with the children which is always good for development through play, they do arts and crafts, messy play, planting vegetables and other fun activities.
The children are taken on great trips on a regular basis to the farm, festive outings and to the park, which my son always loves.
Lisa also provides regular updates and pictures on what my son has been doing during the day via a secure app which is so nice to receive.

We've been with Lisa for three years now - first with my eldest who started days before his first birthday and now with my second who began with her at 10 months old.
Lisa is a dream of a childminder - the single best find I've ever had. From the very first day in her care, my boys have been loved and cared for better than I could have hoped. She's warm, caring and always has the perfect advice when I've asked her for it!
My kids have thrived at Lisa's and I've been able to keep up with their activities, routines and meals through regular communication.
I wouldn't hesitate a moment to wholeheartedly recommend Lisa to anyone who is looking. She is outstanding.
