My Summary
About Me
I am a childminder working in North Walsham. I was very proud to receive my second Outstanding inspection grade in April last year (2016). I very much enjoy working in Early Years, and with children of all ages, and their families. I feel that my setting is a welcoming, calm and child centred home based learning environment. I have friendly well resources indoor areas, and fantastic outdoor spaces which focus on the natural environment to challenge and extend children's learning and development.
Children learn and develop in different ways, I hope to ensure welcoming, playful environments and opportunities that encourage children to explore and play, challenging and extend children's learning to help each and every child to reach their full potential.
My aim too understand and support each individual child in my cares' development via a child centred approach to learning, hand-in -hand with appropriate and considered adult guided and lead learning opportunities, challenges and enjoyable activities. I also aim to build and maintain strong relationships and partnerships between myself and parents/carers, and other early years settings.
I am able to provide Government Funded childcare for two year olds, and three/four year olds, and to offer shared care for Funded Childcare between myself and up to two other early years settings.
I can drop off and collect children from various local schools and nurseries. Please contact me for further information.
My Experience
I have enjoyed working as a Childminder Early Years Educator for more than 16 years now. My knowledge of child development is exceptional. I evaluate my practise regularly, and go on additional training and take up professional development opportunities at every opportunity.
My Qualifications
BA Degree in Sociology - 2:1.
NVQ LEVEL 3 in child development and early years education.
Paediatric First Aid, Safeguarding Training - refreshed every three years.
Many more certificates and training courses attended, too many to list.
My Availability
I am available to work from 7am until 6pm Monday to Friday, where places are available.

My Fees
- Childminding from £4.20 per hour
£4.20 per hour for children from birth to 5 years.
£3.80 per hour for children over 5 years old - School aged children.

My daughter was with Claire full time for 2 years before she started school. 4 years on she still returns for occasional days in the school holidays just to catch up with Claire and because she loves going to Claire’s house. She describes Claire’s house as one of her “safe places”, where she feels at home and well looked after. Claire provided a fantastic foundation of learning and fun before school started. It suited my daughter so much better than nursery as it was a home from home environment with lots of trips out and varied activities. Claire strives for excellence and encourages feedback as well as attending courses to improve her level of service. Personalised approach used to suit individual children’s needs

Claire is absolutely brilliant. We feel very lucky to have found her. Our son goes to Claire's house 2 days (soon 3 days) a week and he loves it, it's like a home from home. She has taught him (and us) so much since he started with her and she has helped him develop into a lovely little person.

Claire has been looking after my daughter for over 7 months now and we love her. She'd had a bit of a tough time at her last nursery and had struggled to settle but Claire made us both very welcome and she loves going there. My daughter is much more confident and has learnt a lot, they do so much there. I'm so glad I found her!

Claire has looked after our little boy since 3 mths old he's now 4, she has always gone above and beyond to help us. She takes on bored his interests and bases learning activities around this to help with his speech we will be very sad when he leaves for school she's become a very important person in his life the bond is amazing between them x

Claire has been looking after our son for nearly two years now. She is absolutely amazing, so much so that she will be taking care of our baby to once maternity leave finishes. Nothing is to much trouble for her, she is so full of passion and enthusiasm and it really shows. I know that my son is always safe, happy, having fun and really well looked after whilst in Claire's care. I cannot recommend her highly enough
