About Me
My name is Karen and I am a registered childminder and mum to my 9 year old son. I have been childminding for 20 years in total.
Growing up with my mum being a childminder I have many fond memories watching different children grow and develop, as I got older I decided that I would love to work with children giving them to happy and enjoyable learning journey in the early years.
I aim to provide a high standard of childcare in a safe, relaxed and happy home based environment, which will help your child develop. I have a designated area which opens onto the garden.
My Experience
Throughout the day your child will enjoy a mixture of child led free play and adult led activities which will include arts & crafts, singing, reading and cooking which we love doing, as well other activities that cover areas within the Early Years foundation stage to help with expanding educational and development skills through play.
I make regular trips to the park, local soft play, forest, toddler and childminding groups, singing and story time at the library and other outings including the farm, cooking nature trail, Hornimans and more giving first hand experiences.
I serve healthy home cooked meals with drinks available through out the day and snack/fruit time mid morning and afternoon.
I work with the parents and monitor their progress with individual folders and photos, termly to help look at next steps.
My Qualifications
I have been registered as a childminder since 2013 and 9 years previously as an assistant. I have completed all requirements by Ofsted to become a registered childminder including, DBS check, safeguarding and paediactric first aid. I continue to keep up to date with my knowledge with online webinars, local authority meetings and forums to share ideas and knowledge.

Rose and Karen looked after my 2 girls when we lived closer to Bromley and even after we moved away we were quick to come back despite all the traveling. Both Karen and Rose are very professional and caring. Always provide variety of activities or outings for the children. My girls loved going there and even now when at school they are still asking wif they can go and visit. I must say working with Rose was the best experience ever and every childcare option we had since proved to be not even close to how happy we and the girls were there.
