About Me

I am registered childminder of 16 years, with Ofsted rating Good, who looks after children of all ages, including young babies as well as children with special educational needs.

In 2004 I decided to become an Ofsted registered childminder and launched Brenda Klein’s Childminding Services from my home in Gidea Park. The reason behind starting up my own childcare services was for my only child; I wanted my daughter to be surrounded by children of her own age whilst growing up… and this is where my career in childcare blossomed.

I have cared for children for over a decade and they never fail to amaze me – from every age group, their mindset and ideas have surprised me every day since I started this journey. I am a very patient person.

I have CACHE Level 3 in Childminding and standard GCSE. I am paediatric first aid trained, current enhanced DBS check and I am on the update service. I have completed safeguarding children courses, special educational need training child protection course. I have passed my prevent duty course and have my food and hygiene completed and updated yearly. I have public liability insurance, employer’s liability insurance and home insurance in place. As well, all of my staff are have completed a DBS check and are all on the update service.

I have a detached house with an attached annex, which is where the childminding business and mini nursery is based, however, on busier days I open up the downstairs of my house so ratios can be controlled, and children can be monitored. I have several assistants working different times over the weeks, depending on the ratio of children. I take care of children of all ages, from one years old up until they leave primary school, and I even have children from secondary school continuing on with my childcare. I do drop offs and collections from Squirrels Heath Infant & Junior school and Nutkins Nursery, however, please ask if you have a different local school for collection.

Brenda Klein Childminding Services is open weekdays, 7am-7pm, longer hours are available at an additional charge. I offer nursery services which include both 15 and 30 hours/week funded placement as well as student finance and other additional company vouchers.
