About Me
My name is Sophia. I'm mum to a lively, happy and lovely 11 yearold son who has Autism, add and Global Delay. He has come on so much in the last few years and is independent in many ways, not difficult to look after.
My Requirements
My requirement is for after school care on a Monday afternoons 3.15 to 6.30pm (term time) and possibly occasional baby sitting. My son will be dropped off (from his school in Eastbourne) to our home by the school bus service. I need the carer there in time to receive him and look after him till I return in the early evening. I can prepare his meal prior, he knows the routine of changing clothes (having a hand face wash). He will most likely want to watch tv (play his games) chill out. He is usually hungry and tired after school.
I'm looking for a positive, good natured, patient and competent person. The relevant childcare qualifications/ checks are expected. Preferably someone who is well established in experience with special needs children, although my son doesn't present complex challenges at this time. Just can be lively (excitable) (stims a lot) but lovely with it. Firm boundaries work well (he listens to no) and enjoys being helpful and involved.
