My Summary
About Me
Reliable, creative and patient Nanny with strong work ethic and over eight years of professional experience with children from the ages 6 months to 9 years old (and occasional babysitting experience with babies under 6 months.) Also experience with multiple children in my care.
Available from December 2024
Focus on supporting children through their emotions, teaching them that all feelings are allowed, but not all behaviour is acceptable, gently offering alternatives on how they could express their emotions appropriately.
I have a first-aid certificate (renewed 2022) and my DBS check (renewed on July 2023)
Depending on the working hours, what I usually cover regularly in the most playful way and adjusted to the children's age and individual needs:
- opportunities to socialise or parallel play with their peers
stay and play centers, singing groups in the
library, play dates, encouraging play with other
children at the playground...
- reading books, fiction and non-fiction
Referring to what we've read in conversations,
implementing stories and learned facts into play,
creating arts and crafts around favorite stories or
topics...
- letters and numbers, reading the time
through daily conversations, games, songs,
stories, nursery rhymes and poetry
- arts & crafts
from free drawing and painting to little projects,
practice following instructions, encourage to
contribute own ideas
Teaching them basic drawing skills
Practice the safe use of glue and children's
scissors
Opportunities to create own art without
interference and correction to boost confidence
in their abilities
- daily movement / exercise and outdoor time
dance parties, balancing, throw and catch balls,
parks, encourage lots of running and climbing at
the playground, jumping in puddles in rainy
weather...
- independent play and tasks (supervised)
to boost their self-esteem and independence by
practising new skills and the freedom to come up
and try out their own ideas and to process what
they've already learned without adult interference
- activities that stimulate sensory, motoric and problem-solving skills like water play, magic sand or play dough, puzzles, building blocks, cooking/baking...

We met Ellie to interview her and I can warmly recommend her. She was kind, thoughtful, and very responsible. She has also clearly genuinely cares about children and child development. If we’d decided to go down the nanny route we would have been very lucky to have her! I heartily recommend her to anyone looking.
