l am a happy go lucky person with 23 years working in a nursery as a manager.
I have been working in childcare since 1996. I work with children from aged birth to 18 years old in various organisations such as home start, social service, etc.
I am a mature, reliable person who is confident and enjoys when I see children learn and excel. I also do supervised contact with social services.
My Experience
I have a BA Hons in Early Years which I completed in 2014. Numerous years experience in childcare working as a Nursery Manager with children from birth to 5, Plus older children up to 18 years old in various organisations.I am a mature person who is trustworthy and will ensure I take good care of your child/ren providing them with a fun filled time with me. I can confirm I speak and understand English to a high level.

I am available evenings nights, sleep ins etc...IN EMERGENCIES also catered for, few hours tutoring in the evenings weekends.
/mothers help, such as helping with bottle feeding, bathing, and child development. speech and language. POTTY TRAINING your child. I have experience with twins.
Then weekends for tutoring children under 10 years old that may need help with fine motor skills, homework e.g, spelling writing reading maths.
I have experience with special needs, autistic/ nonverbal children, young babies, and twins. supervised contact.overnight stay, emergency ad hoc.
I can also assess and help your child/ren with support to getting into private schools and writing the reports this is for under 6 years old ONLY.
In addition to the above, I tutor and support candidates who are studying childcare and need support such as writing observations. Planning for their key children within the nursery, etc.
Please note I charge a one of fee of £40.00
when we meet for a consultation of how we will work together with you and your child/ren. During this time, I will show and bring my certificates and proof of my identity as I do not show these on the child care website.
For parents that require tutoring for entry exams up to 11+ and Sat's for year 2 and year 6, the fee for a 2-hour session will start from £45.00

My Fees
- Babysitting from £17.00 per hour
- Tutoring from £35.00 per hour
Tutoring starts at.
£40.00 for 1 hr consultation fee. This is when we meet for the 1st time to discuss, and I look at your child's work and bring some resources.
This is good to do as your child meets me before starting the sessions, plus by coming to see your child, it allows me to know where to start and what resources are required when tutoring.
£17.00 PERL HOUR FOR BABYSITTING
OVERNIGHT STAY DEPENDS ON THE HOURS REQUIRED.
Fees starting from £35.00 per hr. per child for tutoring.
Special rates for sleepovers, etc. depending upon the number of children.
I charge 13.00 per hr when the child is asleep. and 15.00 per hour once awake.
Please note that even though the child is asleep, it is my responsibility to keep them safe.
Children with additional needs I have experience with all ages up to 10 years old, and over this can be nonverbal autism and behaviour.
I am a mature and very experienced nanny/childcare / tutor practitioner who has experience with children from birth to 18 years old.
I also have special needs experience and experience with twins.
You will definitely get results with my input working with your children as I am passionate about ensuring your child gets the best programme from me.

Our Daughter was off school for several weeks due to having an operation. We contacted Charmain to see if she could help our Daughter keep up with her phonics, maths, reading amongst other subjects during the daytime.
Charmain was happy to help & our Daughter and her get along very well.
2 sessions a week were really helpful for our Daughter. Charmain was flexible too, which was really important for us as we have alot of commitments between us.
If a session needed to be moved from Charmains side, she would give as much notice as possible.
I see there are bad reviews for Charmain, but honestly we think she is great and she has really helped our Daughter.
There is learning time and then at the end of each session she has time to chat with our Daughter.
There needs to be structure to each session, which some people aren't happy about but for us this works great.

I can see why she has negative reviews. She messaged me many times and wouldn't leave me alone so i was honest enough to say i was put off my some of her reviews and she wrote me a very rude long rant saying it was my loss, she just took on new clients! I had a lucky escape as i don't need it. She has shown her true colours! Avoid

I must now defend myself.
I am an educated mature lady and don't think l was rude. l am confident what l do and was trying to tell you l have many childcare qualifications.
With regards to my reviews I have had 14 good reviews and your talking negative about 1 or 2 of them.
With regards of you saying l am rude l was just explaining to you about how happy my clients are with me. Which l don't find this being rude in the least.

Amazing beyond words. Really helped my little one, from not knowing phonics to now blending within 8 weeks where the school said he would not pick up they were proved wrong . Thank you so much.

I enjoy tutoring your son he is a blessing to work with.
Charmaine taught my 4yrs old daughter for 1 year and she did amazing job with phonics and her reading. My daughter is able to read level 5 books. I highly recommend Charmaine for tutoring. She really works hard with kids and push them to their maximum potential.

I have four children ,two girls two boys. aged 14,11,10,8. My children are on the spectrum, adhd,autism. I have never left none my children with anyone before. I find it hard to trust people an very protective. I needed a break a night off after all the years an no me time .. I was looking for some one with experience with children ,understanding and some one I could feel comfortable leaving my children with. May 2022 I came across charmain. she came met the children and it went very well. charmain was well mannered and polite bubbly and professional. she very confident an knows what she doing .I booked in and we started. every other Saturday overnight. my children we're very happy ,once I came home on the Sundays I was very impressed all four of yhe childrens home works had been done an the children enjoyed baking cakes.[ charmain makes a yummy cake ]. My home was just how I left it ,always clean on my return charmain made sure the children kept there bedrooms tidy an had there baths. charmain followed any rules I set out with no problems. i enjoy my nights off without worrying about the children as i know there safe with charmain. the comuincation is great if i message asking anything i always get a reply. charmain has become a big part of our family house hold. I would recommend charmain definitely.

I look forward to my weekend to babysit them. They are all lovely children and I enjoy spending time with them. especially when I am making yummy cakes.
Charmaine is very opportunistic. She constantly looks for higher pay, which I can understand but at least do it with a bit of responsibility and honesty. Instead, she would invent bizarre excuses for not turning up at last minute. You will be fine if you pay her top rate but for how long? The moment she finds someone else paying better rate, she just couldn't care less about your child. Quite a despicable woman really! The thing is you can't really tell at first. She was really bubbly and chatty at trial lesson.

My boy is autistic. In the beginning he was not settled with her. Later she make good relationship with my boy . My boy was very happy with her when she came she try with different resources to make him learn . He learnt how to write number , phonics sound , his name . Now more concentrate and listing. My boy improved a lot .

Thank you for the review. I enjoy coming to tutor your son and I can see an improvement in him.
Charmaine has been an amazing tutor for our 4 year old son. Within a month we have seen great progress as he is now able to write his name, write number 1 to 5 and counting to 20 amoungst other things. Her sessions are never boring for him as they do a lot of activities and she is very engaging. I recommend her as a tutor and she creates a very good impression from the word go. My son wanted to leave with her on the first day lol.

Thank you for the lovely review. It is a pleasure tutoring your son.
Charmaine has been working with my 5 year old boy since last 8 months and his attitude towards studies has changed now. I was struggling to make him write the alphabets and now he can write sentences properly. His phonics in particular is exceptional now and he can read books well above his age level. Writing, maths and English all areas I have seen him improve so much. I highly recommend Charmaine to any parent looking for a professional and honest tutor.
