About Me
Hello, and Thankyou for taking the time to look at my profile.
I offer tax free childcare as well as 15 and 30 hour funded.
Here’s a little about myself.
I am a mum of two children, age 17 and 22. My childcare ethos is to offer a warm and caring home from home where the children are welcomed and encouraged to make their own informed choices with toys, games, crafts and role play alike.
I follow the early years framework and provide whatsapp communication for parents to keep up to date with their little ones meals, naps and daily activities, as well as sending regular photos of the child’s adventures through the day. We also take part in seasonal events that include dressing our home up for Halloween, Christmas ( very exiting time in my setting) and easter as well as other religious holidays to include all cultures and beliefs.
I have a positive outlook and encourage my mindees to use my setting and resources to their own abilities, no matter what age, and always offer support and encouragement to nurture and care for the children in my care. Learning through experiences and play,
I believe children thrive more when they are in a happy, positive, caring setting with lots of variety and opportunities to explore.
My little mindees have lots of fun whilst they learn through play.
My Experience
I have 12 years experience with all ages of children from 4 months to 12 years of age, and am well known locally at the Balfour Infants and Junior schools for my ongoing childminding services.
I follow the eyfs and keep a daily diary of each pre-school child's learning progress with a digital photographic journey, observations and planners.
I am Ofsted Graded Good In All Areas in my last inspection in July of 2022.
My Qualifications
My most recent Ofsted inspection was in July of 2022 where I have been graded good in all areas.
I have passed all of the relevant NCMA paperwork for my childminding course as well as a level 2 English literature exam, i promote the early years framework allowing children to learn through a wide range of experiences and the resources I provide in my setting. My paediatric 12 hour first aid course was renewed in March this year and is valid until March 2027. I have updated my safeguarding practice with a level 2 course in May of 2022, as well as infection prevention and control level 2 ( please see my documents section ) My 12 years in childminding has given me invaluable experience working with children as well as bringing up my own 2 children.
My latest Ofsted report was Good in all areas and my Food hygiene rating is a level 5.

My Availability
My present childcare availability is from 7.30am-5pm with some flexibility.
I have a full time space ( mon-Thursday) coming available from JANUARY 2025 for a child able to walk on the short distance to the school.
My setting is in a very central location and is within a short distance of both Chatham and Rochester train stations, and a short distance from the main bus route from Chatham.
My school drop and collection service covers both BALFOUR INFANTS AND JUNIOR SCHOOLS ONLY. .

My Fees
- Childminding from £7.00 per hour
- Babysitting from £12.00 per hour
I’m currently offering an Easter half term holiday Discount - please ask for details.
Usual Full day charge for pre-school children, inc breakfast, lunch and healthy snacks- £50 from September 2024,
Meals included for pre-school children during term time.
(During the summer I ask parents to provide a packed lunch so we can get straight out and about with our day)
Before/after school Inc. Breakfast/ healthy snack and light tea if required. Please ask for further details.
