My Summary

My Experience

I have followed a career path in bar work then going into social care sector working with elderly and then adults with cerebral palsy. I have successfully achieved level 3 diploma in health and social care.

Following 7 years of working in a care role and two children later, I decided to enter the exciting world of childminding.
As a busy mother of two, I am well aware of the demands and responsibilities involved in caring for children. I have no doubt that the experiences that I have had already with bringing up my own children help me in my role as a childminder. There is a large age difference between my eldest and youngest child and understand how challenging it can be to care for children with varying abilities, needs and interests.

As part of my pre-registration training I successfully completed a six week induction course in childminding ran by the local council and approved by Ofsted. The course covered a wide range of subjects including child protection, health and safety, child development and behaviour management.
I feel these thing have helped me along the way I have always helped out at my friends with looking after their children. My experiences have given me some understanding of what is involved in looking after children.

I have the experience of being a mother of children who have been cared for by a childminder, nursery and after school care. I am therefore able to identify areas where that particular service has been successful and try to do the same, as well as learn from areas where I feel improvements could have been made.

I am a fit and active individual with plenty of energy to provide children with a stimulating environment with a wide variety of fun and educational activities.

I regularly attend playgroups where I have the opportunity to speak with other childminders and listen to their experiences and advice.

Level 3 paediatric first aid

also make full use of the training workshops provided. I believe it is vitally important to continue to further my training and refresh my skills in order for me to provide a good quality childcare I provide.

My Availability

I have flexible childcare, all day, part-time and can pick up and drop off at Amberley primary's school

I AM OFFERING 15 and 30 hours "FREE FUNDED PLACES" with no addition fees for outings.
