About Me
Hello, my name is Meg Featherstone. I live in Warrington and I am a Forensic Scientist. Due to my current work availability, I am seeking parents who would like school drop off's (morning), evening and weekend childcare. I am willing to travel within a 15-mile radius of Warrington.
I currently care for different families within the area who I have become close too and I hope to provide you with the same service. I have plenty of experience working with children of all ages and disabilities. I have a DBS check and, NPPV Level 3 and SC Security clearances.
My Experience
Coming from a large family, I have always been the auntie/cousin that everyone wants to play with and as a young adult, I cared for many of my family’s friend’s children, friends of friend’s etc. via their recommendations.
Having a friendly yet disciplined attitude has made me very successful when looking after children from different ages and backgrounds. I have cared for children as young as newborns all the way up to teenagers; including children with disabilities (down-syndrome, autistic and learning difficulties).
I have a master’s degree in Forensic Ballistics and a bachelor’s degree in Forensic Science.
During my bachelor’s degree, I held the position of a Student Ambassador where I was one of the key drivers in managing and maintaining specialised Forensic Science activities, running 45-minute sessions for up to 20 students. I also taught Math’s, English and Science to children from pre-school all the way up to college including children with learning disabilities; I am sure I can provide homework help.
The Student Ambassador position enabled me to become a STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) Ambassador; a voluntary position where I work in schools, colleges and recruitment centres inspiring younger generations to pursue a career in STEM disciplines.
Furthermore, for the past six years, I have volunteered as a Forensic Science Educator at two family orientated festivals (Deer-Shed and Latitude) by organising, designing and delivering workshops for under 15-year-olds. I have led groups of 15 through Murder Mystery Scenes and taught them about basic Forensic techniques.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £8.00 per hour
Day hourly rate (07.00 - 23.00): £8.00
Night hourly rate (23.00 - 07.00): £6.50
The fees are dependant on how many children, the work involved etc. I try to be as far as possible as I understand how expensive childcare can be. I also ask for payments on the day.

Meg looks after my son 2/3 times a week when I work late. Nothing is ever too much trouble, and she is absolutely fantastic with children. My son asks everyday if Meg is coming to look after him, he absolutely adores her. Couldn't ask for a better babysitter!

Meghan is a lovely, kind and hardworking person. My kids loves her company and looks forward seeing her on her visits. She comes up with different activities to distract kids from playing with their gadgets 🙌. She is understanding and thoughtful and my kids thinks she is an amazing babysitter. I would highly recommend her to anyone.

Megan is great babysitter!
My kids adored her and kept asking her return. Megan is loving, talented and completely trustworthy with kids. It's a pleasure to work with her as a parent, too. She is organized, punctual,and communicative.
