My Summary
Childminder In Hampstead.
About Me
Hi my name is Charlotte, I am an energetic lady with years of childcare experience. I live in a large 3 bedroom garden flat in Hampstead. My daughter who is also registered with Ofsted and also works along side me as an assistant and an extra pair of hands to ensure the children who are at my setting get the full committed attention they need to progress, develop and learn. I also have two other assistants that I can call upon if my other assistants are unwell or on leave, this is also to ensure I always have enough members of staff at my setting to avoid any disruption's to our day. I also work along side my daughter in law who is also a registered childminder.
For many years I taught in a local nursery school. but after having my son I decided that I would like to work from home to spend more time with him. I have now been a registered childminder with Ofsted for 20years and have loved every minute of it.
Our days are taken up with lots of music, arts and craft, singing , stories, action rhymes cooking ,planting, and lots more.We have a wide range of equipment including a play kitchen, lots of musical instruments, puzzles, sensory toys also multicultural toys and lots of books. The older children also enjoy using flash cards to play games. We also have ICT equipment that can be used for visual learning and exploring. The children can have their nap times outside or indoors (weather permitting) .
At my home/setting I have a large front garden which has a small climbing frame, sand and water table, rockers, picnic table, buggies, push along bikes and a trains table. I also set up numerous activities outdoor such as painting, sensory activities such as glitter and water in the water trays. The children often engage in team play in the garden, encouraging all motor skills, coordination & things such as colour recognition & counting.
We provide three healthy home cooked meals a day for the children breakfast, lunch and tea time. We gained a satisfactory mark in our food premises inspection which is the highest grade that you can be given.
These meals all include healthy fruit, vegetables and a variety of different foods to suit each child.
Each child has their own progress folder which we add photos and observations to as your child grows and develops. We also send home a daily record book so you know exactly what your child has been up to in the day. We find that the parents really appreciate and enjoy reading these books as it makes them feel apart of what their child has been doing whilst being in our care we have had really positive feed back from the parent's regarding these books.
We have three fire exits, two first aiders on site at all time and have two first aid boxes and a fire blanket. We conduct regular fire drills and daily visual risk assessments. We also regularly have the London fire brigade come to our setting to check all is well.
We are a pet friendly and have two small dogs and a cat. The children can see all the animals but they do not come into contact with them at any point in the day, every precaution is taking to ensure the children's safety.

My daughter has been cared for by Charlotte and her team for the past 2.5 years, since she was 9 months old. It’s only now that my daughter is older that she’s moving to a nursery attached to a school though Charlotte is still looking after her after nursery.
Charlotte is just wonderful and I feel so lucky to have had her look after my daughter, giving her such amazing care and a truly enjoyable time. It’s a very caring home from home experience and the little ones have lots of fun - singing, dancing, crafting, stories, doing games and puzzles. And Charlotte has a great garden for the children to enjoy, allowing them to run around outside, do bubbles, painting, ball games, paddling pools and water play in the warmer weather.
Charlotte would send regular updates and photos of what my daughter has been doing that day, which I really love seeing.
Charlotte also managed to get my daughter to eat all her food - something rarely achieved at home!
I really can’t recommend Charlotte enough and my daughter misses not being at Charlotte’s full time and talks a lot about the activities she did and the friends she made. Simply superb!

Our son was at Charlotte’sfor a year from age 1.5-2.5 years old. I would have sent him soon had we known about Charlotte’s wonderfully nurturing home. Her staff are wonderful and she works with her daughter and daughter in law, Ali g with others. It feels like a family environment which we really loved. Charlotte has a plethora of experience as head teacher in nursery schools, her own children and now grandchildren, and of course as a childminder. We visited many childminders in the area and her garden is second to none. My son brought home many arts and crafts for different holidays, enjoyed playing in the kiddie splash pool on hot days, and even played with a baby goat one time when Charlotte’s son brought one over from his farm. I can recommend highly enough. We only left because we got the spot at the nursery/primary school we wanted to send our son to. We miss her dearly.

I cannot speak highly enough about Charlotte! She cared for my daughter from the ages of 9 months to 2 years old, and she truly became a part of our family. From the moment we met her, we knew she was warm, kind, and knowledgeable about child development.
One of the things I appreciated most about Charlotte was how she helped my daughter build her independence and confidence. She created a safe and nurturing environment where my daughter felt comfortable exploring and trying new things. Charlotte encouraged her to develop her skills and abilities, and my daughter blossomed under her care.
My daughter loved going to Charlotte's house each day, and I could see why. She always had a variety of engaging activities planned, and my daughter was always excited to see what was in store. Charlotte was attentive to each child's individual needs and interests, and she always made sure that they felt seen and heard.
As a working parent, I also appreciated Charlotte's communication skills. She sent regular updates throughout the day, including photos and videos, so I always knew what my daughter was up to. She was also responsive to my messages and questions, which made me feel more at ease as a first-time parent.
Overall, I feel incredibly fortunate to have found Charlotte. She exceeded my expectations in every way and provided my daughter with a wonderful start to her early childhood education. I would highly recommend her to any parent looking for a caring and skilled childminder who will help their child build their independence and confidence.

Since my 1 year old son joined Charlotte's a year ago he has been so so happy, I couldnt have wished for better. Charlotte's home is such a wonderful, loving and safe environment - my boy is so cared for and adores all the staff and his little friends. He has also learned lots of things and really enjoys all the activities.
Charlotte, Sian and all the staff and so friendly and upbeat, I am really sad that my boy is leaving (for logistical reasons, to be with his older brother in the same school). I couldn't recommend this place enough to anyone! Please feel free to contact if you need more details :)

I'm so glad we found Charlotte setting when looking for childminder for our Son who is now 3 years old. Charlotte and her team are so caring, friendly and have made sure our son was happy and settled every time we dropped him off. Our son loves it when he has to go to Charlotte’s place . Charlotte provides a large variety of activities, she has a lovely outside garden too for children to use. I very much recommend her to anyone looking for childminder. They are the best.

My baby girl Emily first started to attend Charlotte's place at the age of 5 months. Of course I was a bit stressed as she is my first baby, so I did not know what to expect.
Charlotte and her team were perfect from the first day. We felt and still feel like they are a second family to us. They took care of Emily and all other children as they were their own, with so much love and patience.
As we were moving to another area in London, we had to find another place for Emily when she turned 1. Otherwise, we would be staying until she were 18 years old, if possible!
I cannot recommend enough of this place, it's truly a first class childminder.
Do not hesitate to contact me for further information.

Our daughter joined Charlotte's when she was 15 months old. She immediately loved the team and always left home in the morning with a smile on her face. I can't recommend Charlotte and her team enough. They really care about the children and make great effort to create a special bond with them which is so important when they are little. It is rare to find a place like this. Unfortunately we moved out of London and it broke my heart having to take our daughter away from this setting. I would have taken Charlotte with me if I could have.

I secured a part-time place for my 2-year old son Felix at Charlotte's in the midst of COVID-19 crisis. We felt Charlotte's setting is safer than a typical nursery and we were right. Charlotte and her team followed government guidance on cleaning, made sure parents follow social distancing rules and the setting had no cases throughout the height of the pandemic. We were extremely blessed to secure a space on such short notice.
Charlotte and her team also demonstrated good communication skills with parents and genuine care for the children's developments. We had troubles with my son's previous nursery due to their lack of care, lack of understanding of my son's needs and the lack of help. My son settled in at Charlotte's quicker and is happier, he's being having targeted help with his language ability and independent eating, we could see tangible improvements week after week.
We would like to thank the team for their exceptional care shown during my son's time there and I would highly recommend this setting for any parents looking for an excellent childminder in the area.

Our daughter has been with Charlotte for 1 year now and she is so happy and she will be very sad to leave, as will we (due to relocation)!
Charlotte has taken her from 8 months to 18 months and we could not recommend her highly enough. It has been a home from home for our wee one.
She has gained a structure in terms of her sleeping and a routine and sometimes seems genuinely unhappy on leaving at the end of the day! She seems to sleep better there than at home.
We had absolutely no concerns at any point in the last year, and the communication has always been excellent and clear.
Charlotte and her team genuinely care about the children. A kind and loving environment.

We have been using Charlotte’s setting for almost 6 years now. My daughter started with Charlotte, Sian, Tashy and Jane when she was 10 months old and now that she is in Year 1 at school, continues to go to Charlotte for after school care. We have gotten to know them personally and we truly feel that they are like an extended family to us. They have been nothing but supportive to us as a family when we’ve needed it and provide continuous love, support and encouragement to my mischievous, spirited little girl. Tashy’s son and my daughter have a brother-sister relationship and we could not be happier with the services they provide. Yes they have pets and if you don’t like pets around your kids (the dogs don’t come into contact with the children whatsoever) then this is not the place for you, but if like me, you believe that it’s important for children to be around animals to teach compassion and care, you will never regret sending your child to Charlotte’s setting. Additionally, Charlotte’s home cooking is the best and my child far prefers Charlotte’s cooking to my own.
