About Me
Hi, my name is Heather, I am a registered childminder living in Beeston Rylands (3 mins from Beeston train station, 5 mins from Boots head office). I am married and we have two children of our own, a girl born November 2009 and a boy born May 2012. I am the middle child of a family of nine children and grew up in Southend-on-Sea Essex before moving to Nottingham in 2003. My home is a non-smoking household, I work as a home from home environment with a wide choice of toys and activities to suit all ages/stages of development/interests. The secure rear garden is a safe place for children to come and go as they please and to play with the toddler friendly bunnies who live out there, a wide range of garden toys are available, with a big play house at the bottom. We also have a very friendly cat who loves fussy from children.
My Experience
I have been a childcare professional in one form or another since leaving school back in 1993, I worked and trained in nurseries, before working for over 10 years as a private nanny for three different families and have experienced working abroad. I moved into childminding when I became a mum so I could still continue doing the job i love whilst being able to look after my own children at home
I am experienced in careing for all ages of children from newborn to teenages.
My last Ofsted inspection was in February 2020 rating: GOOD
My Qualifications
• NVQ 2 Working in a pre-school group
• NVQ 3 Early years care and Education
• Paediatric first aid
• Induction for Home-based Practitioners (IHP)
• Introduction to Safeguarding Children
My Availability
I have spaces available from September 2023.
Minimum hours per contract are:
Two days a week,
5 hours per day for babies and preschoolers.
2 hours a day for school age children.
