About Me
I am an Ofsted registered childminder open from 7am to 5.30pm. I have availability for under 5's. I offer home from home childcare where your child will be safe, happy and having fun. if you have any questions please contact me.
I live with my husband, and three sons (11, 15, 17) just off Knightfield. I have used childminders in the past and know how good it feels to find a place where your children are safe, having fun and with someone you trust. In my home I will be providing a clean, safe, loving and home life environment where children can play and learn. I like to provide care that meets the needs of your children and be flexible to meet parents needs too.
My days can include attending a wide variety of local playgroups, messy playgroups, soft plays areas, playgrounds, library, working farms, splash areas, parks and walks in the woods.
We really enjoy our days at Willows Farm and Paradise Park where I have membership.
At home we spend our time playing with another wide variety of toys, suitable for babies up to school age children. We enjoy arts and crafts, planned themed crafts each week, cooking and baking. All the activities planned and toys provided are designed to help your child's learning and development, as children learn best through play. All this is done with lots of fun and encouragement within a safe and secure environment.
I deliver the Early Years Foundation Stages (EYFS) requirements up to Year 1. Which is the foundation kids need to start school, but we do it with lots of fun.
My opening hours are 7am to 5.30pm but are flexible so please call me to discuss.

My Qualifications
I am qualified and registered childminder. I have completed all relevant courses.
I have a Paediatric First Aid Certificate and have completed courses in Safeguarding, delivering the EYFS and I continue to develop my learning by keeping up to date with changes to requirements within the EYFS as well as attending childminding development courses.

Leaving your precious baby is a scary thing to do and I was so worried about doing it, I dont have family around to help out and had no idea how I was going to cope when I went back to work, until I met Sharon. She was the first childminder I met with and I knew she was 'the one' straight away; she is so warm and friendly and I knew in my gut my little one would be safe and have fun with her. Ollie started with Sharon when he was 11 months old and he has had an amazing time from day one; he loves her to bits and so do I as it is a massive weight off my mind knowing I don't need to worry about him when he's with her. He has come on so much socially and developmentally in the time he has been with her, its a joy to see. They go on lots of adventures, to play groups, sing and dance in the house, have lots of yummy food and generally have a great time. Sharon's husband and boys are so lovely too and really do treat him like part of the family, he is so happy there and runs in without even a backward glance most days. Sharon is not the type of childminder you see sitting around the edges at soft play scrolling through her phone, she is right in there laughing and playing with the kids. She clearly loves her job and for my husband and I that's been the biggest selling point; it helps so much knowing our precious little one is with someone who really cares and has fun with him like we would. Really cannot recommend Sharon highly enough!

I have been lucky enough to know Sharon a number of years and she has looked after my children. The environment is safe and comfortable and fits totally with the setting I would want for my 2 girls when they can't be with me.
