About Me
I am a qualified childminder registered with Ofsted, a member of PACEY, which stands for, Professional Association for Childcare and Early Years (formally known as NCMA) and a member of the previous Childminding Networks Quality Assurance Scheme. I am also a qualified EYE (Early Years Educator) Childminder registered to offer EYE childcate and also accept the government funding scheme.
I am also insured with public liability by PACEY/Royal Sun Alliance, and have been fully CRB checked, as have my assistants. I am a qualified first aider and have attended many courses on Child Protection, Special needs and Child Education.
I have a Chihuahua who is fully vaccinated and child friendly. I believe that children can learn a lot from having contact with animals, however certain procedures are followed to ensure the safety of the children at all times.
My Experience
I have worked teaching two to five year old children for six years at a Montessori nursery school and have now been a childminder for many years.
I will seek to safeguard children and young people by:
• valuing them, listening and respecting them
• adopting child protection guidelines
• sharing information about child protection and good practice with
parents and children
• sharing information and concerns with agencies who need to know,
and involving parents and children appropriately
• keeping up to date with child protection training
My Qualifications
I have a Bachelors degree in Early Years Care and Education, I also hold certificates in Early Years Practice and Working Together for Children. I have also been awarded by the National Childminding Association for excellence in childminding.
