About Me

Hi, I’m Lucie! I have years of experience working closely with children and young people—as a nursery nurse, live-in au pair, and residential care worker—I’ve developed a passion for creating safe, nurturing spaces where kids can thrive. I believe that learning happens best through exploration and play, especially in the great outdoors. Whether it’s organising a fun nature walk or coming up with creative play ideas, I love encouraging kids to discover, imagine, and grow through the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

In my own time, I enjoy spending quality moments with my family. I have two children, a 4 year old and a 6 month-old, and together we love heading out on walks, visiting the park with scooter and or on bikes when my daughter isn’t at school.

I’m all about bringing positive energy, creativity, and a sense of adventure into both my professional and personal life.

My Experience

• Nursery Nurse (2014 – 2016, 2017 – 2019): I worked in nursery settings, supporting young children during critical early development stages. I was responsible for planning engaging activities, ensuring safety, and fostering positive social interactions.

• Live-In Au Pair (2016 – 2017): Living with a family allowed me to provide personalized care and support, managing daily routines, organizing creative play, and assisting with homework. This role helped me develop strong time management and problem-solving skills.

• Residential Care Worker with Young People (2019 – 2024): I supported young people in care, focusing on creating a stable, nurturing environment where they could build resilience and develop essential life skills. I worked closely with a multidisciplinary team to support their emotional, educational, and social needs.

I hold a Level 3 qualification in Childcare and am currently on maternity leave, caring for my 6 month old and doing school runs for my 4 year old. As I prepare to return to work, I am looking forward to transitioning into a new role as a childminder, where I can continue my passion for providing high-quality care and fostering child development in a home-based setting.

My Qualifications

• Level 3 Childcare Qualification in Childcare, I currently have my First Aid at work and Paediatric First Aid.

• Ofsted Registration: I am in the process of obtaining Ofsted registration to meet all necessary requirements for childminding ready to open in September 2025.

My Availability

I am in the process of obtaining Ofsted registration to meet all necessary requirements for childminding ready to open in September 2025.

I will be available to provide childcare services on Mondays and Fridays from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM (Later or earlier starts and finishes can be discussed). During these hours, I can accommodate school drop-offs and pick-ups to Locks Heath infants and Junior school, ensuring a seamless transition for your child between home and school.
