About Me

My name is Francisca.I have been an Ofsted registered childminder since early 2015 and have gained a lot of experience in my career caring for children of all age groups.have also worked in other settings like schools and nurseries and I enjoyed supporting children achieving their learning goals in all areas of learning and development.

i have 4 grownup children of my own but only live with 2 of them (22 yrs, and 18 yrs old). also working with two childminding assistant to support me with my childminding and is DBS checked and has First aid Training.I take pride in what i do. I am passionate, reliable, trustworthy and i give high standard quality childcare service to every child at my setting.

I treat all children equal and provide a range of challenging and enjoyable opportunities for each child to learn and develop to their full potential,taking into account age and stage of development, gender, ethnicity, religion, home language, and ability. I work closely with parents and other agencies where appropriate to ensure that individual children's needs are met. I will drop off and pick up from schools around me.

I am a member of childcare.co.uk and have a certificate of Public Liability insurance and Employers Public Liability insurance as I work with a registered childminding assistant. I hold a current paediatric first Aid certificate and hold qualification in introduction to childminder in Home -based childcare and other qualifications. At my setting, I have business policies and procedures; documents that are accessible to all parents.I also have an admission/fee policy about my business opening hours and my fees.

We have a lovely garden for children to play and explore with different Out door resources for all children to participate inclusively. We follow the requirements and standards which all childcare providers must be guided by when delivering the Statutory Framework for Early years Foundation Stage.

We have activities which children enjoy as they learn through paly and enables the children to be supported in all the 7 areas of learning and development. Children enjoy free play e.g. Small world toys like cars ,trains, farm yard ,construction, stickle bricks- where they can be imaginative,ideas and make toy people, houses etc. and and connecting themselves in the world around them and community they live.

Other activities are Messy play, Art & Craft, Role play , puzzle games which teach children about Mathematics-(numbers ,shapes ,money, time ) and also other areas of learning and development. children enjoy listening attentively to Story time and they develop skills needed to concentrate .(communication and language). We also support after school children with reading, using phonic knowledge.(Literacy). and monitor their progress.

We go on Routine outings e.g. Going to the park, attending Local playgroups etc. We provide healthy meals; snacks and drinks .Children are encouraged to take part in preparing snacks and make choices of what they like.

we learn and share ideas about why eating healthy foods is important and about maintaining hygiene on a daily basis and self care.
