My Experience

I absolutely adore my job and I've been childminding now for 15 years....i update my paediatric first aid certificate every 3yrs...along with safeguarding every 2 and I do online courses with ‘pacey’ to keep myself in the loop and refreshed with knowledge. I work from 7.30am until 5.30pm. I have had a lot of experience with young babies and over the past 6 years I've cared for the babies until they were ready to naturally leave for pre-school. I deliver eyfs to a high standard, and I also offer 15/30 government hours and payment can be received through the government tax free vouchers scheme. I like to believe my home is a happy safe environment for both my own children and childminding children. I offer both indoor and out door activities such as dressing up, reading, drawing, jig saw puzzles, baking, play doh Lego painting and quiet reading time to list but a few. I love to take the children out and about as much as possible to parks, museums libraries and swimming. I’d like the children to consider my home their 2nd and have made many friends with parents from caring for their children long after they grew out of me.

My Qualifications

As of July 2024. I have both my first aid certificate and my safe guarding certificate renewed and in place....I also keep my self involved with various childminding hubs and have regular contact with my childminding colleagues....In order to keep my policy and procedures fresh and updated.

My first 2 ofsted inspections were ‘Met’ as i wasn’t looking after any children at the time of inspections, My role on both occasions was school runs only, therfore only ‘Met’ could be achieved.

I was inspected in Nov 2023, I sadly received ‘required improvement’, a little harsh due to the extreme testing and stressful circumstances of the day. The small issues raised have all been rectified and I welcome my new inspection in late 2024.

I have now had my latest ofsted Inspection and I’m pleased to announce that as of August 2024 I achieved ‘Good’ in all areas.

My Fees

• Childminding from £5.50 per hour

I work on a £35 per day basis.... I ask that all full time children bring a pack lunch or lunch that can be heated up...although drinks and snacks are available throughout the day free of charge. Also any excursions are paid for by myself. For before and after school children I provide a variety of breakfasts and fresh fruits and for the after school children sandwiches or snacks are always available.
