About Me
I am an Ofsted Registered Level 3 qualified Childminder in Torquay.
Like other Nurseries and Pre-Schools, I adhere to the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum. I monitor the children’s learning and development by progressing them through play, sensory play, planned activities and Early Years topics/themes, as well as outdoor play and outings.
I am an active Childminder and I like to embrace our wonderful surroundings. We visit places daily, such as: beaches, parks, woods, Soft Play, Playgroups, Childminding groups, Occombe Farm, Zoo and Woodlands Theme Park.
When out and about, we meet up with other Ofsted Registered Childminders to enable the children to socialise in small, medium and large groups. Collectively we organise fun events for the children, such as: pancake races, Easter hunts, Sports Day and Christmas parties.
I plan termly topics to provide a focus for children’s learning and development journeys.
When in my setting, the children benefit from their own dedicated playroom and a spacious garden to explore.
I provide an environment that is equal, happy, safe and stimulating with freedom for expression.

My Experience
I am a level 3 experienced Childminder living at home with my husband and our two children, aged 12 and 9 years old. I attend regular Council forums and training session to keep up to date information and skills.

My little girl has been going to Jess since july 2016 age 14 months she loves going and playing and seeing Jess Jess take her out places each week somewhere different she a really nice lady and my daughter loves going

Jessica was very accommodating to care for my little boy for 2 days at short notice. The feedback I got at the end of each day about his daily activities was excellent and so detailed I felt I was there with him. I am very confident my little boy had a very safe, fun and engaging time with Jessica and her two lovely children.
