Only ad-hoc and weekend childcare available. Please do not contact me for daytime childcare unless it is a one off (eg for medical appointment)
Living in Central Newbury, I am a 49 year old mum of two school children, who believes in learning through play and particularly the outdoor environment. I am full of enthusiasm, and very capable.
I offer flexible childcare solutions, including one-off and occasional overnight care.
I am degree educated, with a long career in communication, mostly public sector. I worked as a full-time childminder for over five years before returning to my substantive career during the lockdown period. I am now offering ad-hoc and weekend care after my recent inspection in 2024.
I am a member of childcare.co.uk, who provide my public liability insurance.
We have a little hamster which the children like to watch, and a very friendly Goldren Retriever dog.
I have excellent references, past and present. I can put you in touch with people who have used my childcare for a a chat.

My Experience
I have child minded for more than five years, children aged 4 months to 13 years. I have two children of my own, and I am very active in the local community, and have previously been a committee member of a toddler play group and the pre-school and a PTA class representative at school. I have over two years experience as a Beavers leader.
