About Us
We are a nursery based in Whiston, Prescot, incorporating Montessori practice in our setting; in which we follow the child's lead to promote confidence, resilience and independence. As a small setting we provide a personal approach in a relaxed environment that encourages our children to learn, explore, have fun and reach their full potential.
We are open from 8.00am-6.00pm and our fees are quite competitive and we also offer an early bird option which is 7.30am at an additional charge
We have spaces available for Free 15 hours a week childcare for eligible 9 months olds and 2 years olds, and free 15 and 30 hours a week funding for eligible 3 to 4 year olds
We provide childcare for children aged 5 months - 5 years
We are 10 minute walk from Whiston Hospital

My little girl has attended here since she was 18 months old she literally asks to go to school on her days off. As a first time parent I was anxious on which school to choose but knew little cedars was where I wanted to send her as soon as we looked round it is very family orientated and they even have a app where you can check up on your child to see how they are getting on throughout the day. My little girls speech improved so much when she started here they really took the time even right through to toilet training. They are all amazing staff who really take their time to listen if you have any concerns about anything. Maggie will miss you all so much when she starts reception in September.

Little Cedars Team
Little Cedar has been an absolute gem for our family. From the moment we stepped inside, we were struck by the warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff are incredibly friendly and genuinely care about each child. They're always patient, attentive, and go the extra mile to make sure every child feels safe and loved.
The nursery itself is clean, well-maintained, and filled with stimulating activities. Our child has made significant progress in their development, both socially and academically. We're particularly impressed with the emphasis on outdoor play and the variety of educational experiences they offer.
We couldn't be happier with our choice of nursery. We highly recommend Little Cedar to any parent looking for a nurturing and supportive environment for their child.

My daughter started in Jan 2020. She has always been happy here and I've found the staff to be caring, supportive and responsive to her needs. They followed my lead for naps and potty training and have always been happy to talk through my concerns regarding my daughter's toileting needs.
They respond quickly to any messages and all staff are approachable.
It's a small setting which is why I chose it, with a lovely outside space. They have chickens!

My son has been attending Little Cedar for over 6 month and he is so happy there – it feels like a second home to him. All of the staff are so supportive and they provide him with so much care, attention and positivity. I have always found the key workers to be very communicative.
I would highly recommend Little Cedar to anyone looking for a nursery in the area and I feel very lucky to have found such a wonderful and happy environment for my son.

Such a lovely Nursery! My two children have only started a few weeks ago and ive already noticed such a positive inprovement in both of them! Every morning, they are running to the door waiting to go in! And the fantastic garden keeps my little live wire of a boy entertained all day! They are dedicated at what they do! Even managed to get my super fussy 3 year old eater to actually eat fruit and normal meals only after a few weeks! The new chicken coop and veg patch are amazing additions too!
Would recommend in a heartbeat!
