I have been childminding since 2006

I am a committed and dedicated
TERM TIME ONLY child care practitioner who will provide a warm, friendly and safe environment with a family atmosphere .
I understand that when you as parents choose to use early years services you want to know that I will keep your child safe and help them thrive,
I believe children learn best when they are healthy, safe and secure and when all their individual needs are met and when they have a positive relationship with the person caring for them.
I ensure my setting is welcoming, safe and stimulating, a place where children are able to enjoy learning through play and are able to grow in confidence to fulfil their full potential,

I use a holistic approach taking into consideration the child’s unique abilities, interests and next steps , my aim is to have happy , confident , kind , caring and independent children and To help every child be as school ready as they can be
I enjoy my work and take pleasure in seeing each child in my setting progress.
I take my role very seriously, I love seeing the children develop and achieve , I treat all children in my setting as if they was my own I like to think of us all as one big family not just a setting. .
I live in Horwich with my husband who is a child protection social worker(full DBS) and 3 children . Son 27yrs who is in full time employment full DBS),now lives in own home with his family , my daughter 22 who is a qualified vet nurse (full dbs) and son 14yrs who attends ST Joseph’s secondary.
we have 1 cat and a very loving,very friendly dog who is loved by everyone who meets her :) ,

My Experience
I have previously worked as a support worker for a family who's son has cerebral palsy,
I am a parent of 3 myself ,
I also do weekend respite for a private fostering agency .
My Qualifications
I have a NVQ level 3 in childcare and development
I am level 3 first aid trained
I have completed my Elklan (communication & language)
Level 2/3 in safeguarding
Level 3 Early years SEN coordinator

As someone who’s worked in childcare for 12 years, when it came to choosing childcare for my babies I was extremely fussy. But Kelly has been amazing since the first visit. Kelly is so welcoming and has been very accommodating. My daughter settled instantly. I don’t have to worry because I know she is safe and happy. We are continuously kept in the loop and communicate with Kelly frequently. Kelly always goes above and beyond.
Kelly provides the best learning opportunities and experiences including lots of trips and outings, something our daughter loves and wouldn’t get from other settings.
I am so incredibly proud of my daughter and the progress she has made over the past two years, that’s largely down to her time spent with Kelly. I wouldn’t send my babies anywhere else.

My little boy has attended Kelly’s childminding since he was 9 months old, I have always been super happy and grateful for Kelly’s help with my son. He has grown and developed so much it has been lovely to see. Thank you for always putting the children first and being such an amazing childminder. Such a lovely setting and I feel at ease knowing my little boy is in Kelly’s care each day.

Both of my boys love attending Kelly's setting. It's cosy, homely, nurturing and wonderful. As a mum with anxiety about my children being away from me, I couldn't have chosen a better setting for my boys. I adore the bond they have with Kelly, and they have come on in leaps and bounds since they started. I would absolutely reccomend this setting to any parents looking for a caring, kind, nurturing home from home setting that offers amazing home and away education and care.

Kelly looked after my twins for a year before they started school. They loved going to Kelly’s and enjoyed all the activities she did with them. She ensured they were independent and confident enough to start school. They still love to see her now and tell her how there day went.

My child has been attending Kelly's childminding since 2016, it is home from home for my little one, he loves attending Kelly's and the various activities that they attend and take part in, kelly is fantastic with the children and has made my work life balance 100% easier knowing my little one is well looked after and enjoying his time away from home. The setting is great and the children have access to a wide variety of toys and activities.
