About Me

My name is Rebecca and I was a primary teacher with 12 years' teaching experience. After having my second daughter, I decided to start a new adventure as a childminder and we opened ‘RJ Childcare’ in November 2022. My husband is also Ofsted registered as our childminding assistant. We offer childcare for children over two years old and we have a lovely group of little ones aged between 2 and 5yrs old, and between 3 and 6 children each day.

We attend a range of local playgroups and classes including Hartbeeps, St Andrews Toddler Group and Tick Tock. As well as local trips to the Aquadrome, Library, Chorleywood Common, farms and garden centres.

I offer a holistic curriculum focusing on all areas of the EYFS and provide a wide range of fun and motivating activities both inside our large playroom and outside in our garden.

In our garden children can explore and play with the mud kitchen, sand & water trays, bikes/trikes and scooters, slide and sports equipment. We encourage the little ones to help with gardening and they enjoy growing seasonal fruit and vegetables.

Inside our playroom we have a cosy role play den, sensory tray, playdough area, play kitchen and shop and a wide range of toys and learning resources for our little ones to access independently. We also have a separate safe and relaxing 'nap room' where little ones have their own travel cot to have their daily naps in.

Our families have given us such lovely feedback and feel our setting is a perfect blend of an educational environment with a homely feel. I work closely with families to make sure each individual child's needs are well met and cared for. I welcome parents to visit us and ask any questions they may have.
