About Me
Hi, im a mother of 2. Ofsted approved, with up to date first aid course and CRB checks.
My setting is run like a Home from Home. We do songs, stories, crafts, play, dress up, construction, puzzles, baking, sensory, IT and so much more. Children playing while they learn is most important to me.
I use a computer based learning system called Babysdays, The Baby's Days system allows me & my parents to monitor the Child's progress quickly and efficiently though the EYFS
I live in Hebburn and I have a non smoking home with an enclosed garden. We enjoy outside play on a daily basis.
We often go on outings to parks, the beach , farms etc. I have a variation of toys to help develop and play with.

I have done my NVQ level 3 in Childcare & Level 4 in Management. I have done courses on Highscope, Makaton, Safeguarding, Early Language & Special Needs.
I am a specialist childminder and i have expanded to allow more children in my setting with the help of an experienced assistant.

My Experience
I have 2 sons, one is 23 yrs old and the other is 16years old. I have been childminding for over 15 years and i can honestly say i love my job. The pleasure and reward from the children is lovely.

Both our daughters have been in Simone's full time care since they were six months old. We were so happy with the level of love, care and education that they have received that we decided to send both girls to Simone instead of nursery when they reached the age of 3.
As a teacher, I have been impressed by Simone's planned activities and the day structure. Each child is given personalised targets for their learning journey which are both academic and social and emotional. The day is well structured, and boundaries are clearly set, which our girls love. They especially like show and tell on Wednesday's and sing and sign on Thursday afternoons.
We chose Simone after visiting several nurseries and childminders as we felt it offered the best of both settings. Firstly having a wide age range of children gave the setting a Montessori feel. Both our girls have learnt lots from playing with older children, whilst learning how to be caring, tolerant and considerate from working with babies and younger children. We also loved that Simone works with an assistant, Joanne, as the children get to interact with more than one adult everyday.
Most importantly our children are safe and are loved by Simone. They run in in the morning and often hide when we arrive at pick up time!! Simone always goes beyond her job description, offering advice and support when it is needed. She has the creative flare and imagination of Mary Poppin's with the discipline and consistency of Super Nanny.
