About Us

Inspirations Nurseries and Forest School at Horsforth is based in a beautiful setting on the grounds of West End Lane Primary School. Established in 2004, in new purpose built accommodation, the Nursery provides the highest quality childcare to children aged from 3 months to 5 years. All meals are cooked fresh, daily on the premises by our exceptional cook!

The Nursery is organised on an age groups basis, each located in an individual room. The over 3’s room is led by a Early Years Teacher. Inspirations follow the EYFS guidelines which state that your child should have a ‘key person’ who is responsible for their daily care needs and putting together information on how your child is developing (for more information click EYFS Summary). Inspirations are inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach to learning, along with the forest school ethos and the use of loose parts. The children are encouraged to use creativity at the heart of the learning and explore through light and shadows. We have an atelierista who works in depth into a project with the children, covering all areas of learning.

We work in partnership with the Primary School to provide wraparound child care for 3 and 4 year olds. We offer the government funded15 hours and 30 hours childcare for 3 and 4 year olds and also government funded places for two year olds. This is not available to all parents and is means tested. We accept the 30 hours funding for eligible parents

The Nursery is open 51 weeks of the year closing for a week at Christmas and all bank holidays

We also have an ofsted rated outstanding nursery in Adel. Inspirations at Adel are in St John the Baptist Primary School. The surroundings are beautiful and close to Adel Beck Woods.

The Nursery is based in the School in a bright and comfortable annex. We provide the highest quality childcare to children aged from 3 to 5 years offering full day care between 7.45 and 6.00pm 39 weeks of the year, holiday club to children 3 – 11 years and before and after school clubs. All meals are cooked fresh, daily on the premises by our wonderful cook.

The pre-school is led by a Higher level Teacher Assistant and assisted by our experienced, advisory Teacher. Inspirations follow the EYFS guidelines which state that your child should have a ‘key person’ at nursery, this person is responsible for putting together information on how your child is progressing (for more information click EYFS Summary).

We work in partnership with the Primary School to ensure a smooth transition between nursery and Reception class.
