About Me
Hello, I am Clare and I am an OFSTED registered Childminder. I have been a childminder since 2010 and look after children from birth to 12 years. I follow the Early Years Foundation Stage; and am a member of the Professional Association for childcare and early years. I have my level 2 Paediatric first aid and have an enhanced CRB. I had my Ofsted Inspection on 22/04/2024 where I was graded GOOD in all areas. I live with my husband Darren who is also CRB checked and registered as my childminding assistant. We have two children; both boys. My eldest is 10 years old and my youngest is 9 years. We live in a property on the links estate in Consett, where I provide children with a safe, happy environment and an entire room full of resources and toys to ensure children meet all aspects of the Early Years Foundaton Stage. We carry out many activities; indoors and outdoors, as well as trips to the park, softplays, swimming, baby/toddler groups etc; having lots fun and learning at the same time.
My Experience
I have been a childminder since 2010 so have alot of experience with children of all ages. I also have previous experience working with children through helping as a teaching assistant in schools and part of Girl Guiding UK Association as a brownie leader. I work from the Early Years Foundation Stage and have experience of children with special needs. I have also completed my level 2 and level 3 qualifications in childcare with CPD training being carried out frequently to develop my knowledge.

My Availability
I aim to provide childcare to meet your individual needs. I can be very flexible with hours (Monday - Friday) and am also able to provide a pick up and drop off service for those parents that may need extra requirements. I can drop off and collect from schools/nurseries and can cover school and bank holidays if required. I offer the two, three and four year old funded places with the addition of 9 month funding from September 2024.

My children settled really quickly with Clare and love going to see her. She is very flexiable with working hours and can accomodate short notice. I would highly recommend to other parents.
