About Me

Prince and princess Day care/ Alex Younger last Ofsted inspection is graded as good with outstanding aspects.

The setting was registered in 25/02/2005. Alex lives with her husband & children.

She works with two assistants five days a week.

Children take part in regular activity’s including play dough, water play, learning numbers colours and shapes. Children take part in weekly trips to toddler groups. Trips to Woodhorn and different local parks.

‘I decided to become a childminder as I loved to spend time with my children and wanted to be around while they grew up. I understand how hard it is for parents to leave their children, so I try to make my home as warm and inviting as possible. All the children I look after I have had for many years, and my children all love having minded friends to grow up with.’

The provision is in the childminder own home, the children have a large down stairs play room with a wide verity of toys games and arts and crafts.

The children have use of a large garden with 3 little tiles cars, scoters, slides and toy taxis. Also water play area.

The play room has dolls Barbie, baby walkers, toy kitchens, dinosaurs and cars, lego, puzzles, many books and a wide range of toys (Peppa pig, Fifi, Toy Story, Dora, farm animals, barbie) play stations.

There is also a downs stairs toilet.

The area the provision is bases is Seaton Vale, Ashington, which is close to Ashington Hospital, it is a new area of development.

The childminding setting operates Monday to Friday 7.00am to 6.00pm.

My Experience

The childminder has a thorough understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage [EYFS] and plans activities inline with the six areas of learning (statement taken from Ofsted evaluation).

She places significant importance on the children’s individual learning and development, therefore children make very good progress (statement taken from Ofsted evaluation).

The childminder skilfully attends to children’s personal needs.

With a minimum of 5 hours per day.

Parents have a choice whether to bring a packed lunch or pay for a cook meal at lunch time.
