I have always worked within childcare in a variety of settings, and I have many qualifications, certificates, and references to support my work.
I am a trained forest school leader.
I live with my husband and our two children. We have recently renovated our house, which is situated in the very quiet village of Gravenhurst. We offer a friendly, loving, and safe environment.
We have a unique large nursery/playroom dedicated to childcare equipped with a variety of toys and resources to suit a range of ages and abilities. This includes many sensory resources - fibre optic light tables, mirrors, etc. a huge range of arts and crafts materials, a large ball pool, role play areas, a book corner, and so on. The playroom has its own separate toilet and sink area. We also use the rest of the house, including our dining room, which hosts a large variety of musical instruments and our living room, which homes our loving gerbils. We have a big garden equipped with many toys and apparatus, including a very large climbing frame, sand pit, mud kitchen, water and messy play areas, trikes, etc. We also have a small orchard and allotment
A private drive for safe drop-off.
I offer balanced home cooked meals and snacks throughout the day and evening.
We enjoy going on outings, especially to the woods and farms. We are members of the national trust & English heritage.
I have additional qualifications within SEN and have knowledge of allergies and other medical conditions.
I can offer payment via childcare tax and learning grants as well as the government funding.
My Experience
Over 20 years experience working with children of all ages in a variety of settings, including children with educational, behavioural, and additional health/medical needs. SEN experience.
Lots of work with babies, we have the equipment and facilities to cater for the youngest humans.
Expert knowledge when dealing with allergies and intolerances.

Level 3 CACHE Diploma in Childcare and Education.

I attend regular training to refresh my knowledge and keep up to date with any changes.
I also hold all the relevant insurances and a clear DBS (criminal check) and driving licence.
My Availability
School runs - Upper Gravenhurst Academy. Pippins pre school in Gravenhurst.
Times and days can be flexible. Ad hoc basis - evenings, weekends and over night care (spare room) considered if the space is available.
We also offer groups from our nursery room such as arts and crafts, messy play, science workshops and more.
I can offer event cover for those who would like children cared for and occupied during events, ie weddings.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £8.00 per hour
- Childminding from £5.00 per hour
Childminding for early years £7.50 per hour.
Childminding for school age £6.00-£7.50 per hour.
Out of hours £10+
Weekends late evenings and nights are offered at a higher rate.
Event cover depends on the requirements and the number of children.
