My name is Fedra and I am an Early Years educator based in the Vauxhall - Nine Elms area of London with extensive experience working across private and government settings.
I love working with children and have dedicated my life to working in Early Years Education and have also worked with children in after school clubs, my local Scout Group and youth clubs.
From the beginning of my career I have worked from volunteering roles through to being headteacher of a nursery for disadvantaged children.
I have extensive experience in all areas of Child Development. I work in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and deliver activities according to your child’s needs, abilities and interests.
In our first ever OFSTED Inspection in September 2017 we received a ‘Good’ rating. We are a bilingual setting – English is the main language at my setting, however, we also teach children Spanish, as a second language is proven to be beneficial in the attainment of academic results later on in life.
I place an emphasis on providing healthy and nutritious meals as this can only be of benefit also. Additionally, I work with my son who is OFSTED registered and speaks fluent Portuguese.
I have a very active lifestyle and I try to pass this on to the children I work with, with the aim of helping them reach their full potential.

Leaving your child with someone is a big and terrifying decision — you want to be sure they are not only safe but happy and able to learn. Fedra and her team are more than just childminders; they are family. They create the same caring, loving environment that we have at home, and we will always be grateful for that.
You will not regret sending your child here. They have built a wonderful setting full of stimulation and educational activities, including day trips to places like the Nature Garden. The food they provide is varied and nutritious (I was very tempted to turn up at lunchtime myself on more than one occasion!).
Even after we moved away, they continued to invite us back for events like the Christmas party and Easter egg hunt, showing that it’s never just a goodbye on the last day — they genuinely care about seeing the children grow up.
We will miss them tremendously and feel so lucky to have been part of their community.

My daughter Ava has been going to Nine Elms childminding since I went back to work in July 22.
I had very little reservations as my son who also attended and whom is now 11 yo was one of Fedra first intake when she set up some years ago. He loved it there and I can honestly say my daughter also is loving it there. It was easy leaving her for the first time and she didn’t need an intense level of settling in as she was excited about all that was on offer and the nurturing welcoming feeling she received from the staff. She didn’t even notice when I left. I love that it is smaller than large nurseries and children benefit from more attention from the adults as well as getting to know their peers better. The activities provided by the staff are engaging and fun as well as educational for the children. My daughter often comes home with surprising new words or actions that she has learned from the provider.
Lastly I’m happy that the staff are all or a mature age rather than teens as found in some other local nurseries that my eldest daughter who is now 18 used to attend.
I love the bilingual influence and I can see the children are very happy here.
I can honestly say I’m 100 % happy and would definitely recommended this provider to anyone considering new childcare arrangements for their little one.

My daughter has been going to nine elms since February, and she absolutely loves it. I had been to at least 5 different nurseries in and around Battersea, but this one was by far the best. The homely environment and friendly staff gives me peace of mind. Fredra and her team are amazing and my daughter is always happy and comfortable with them. I would highly recommend this childminders. It's a little distance for us to travel but it's definitely worth it.

We love Fedra and we highly recommend her as a childminder. She looked after our daughter for more than 2 years and we sadly have to move on, due to relocating.
Fedra and her family have been known to us as very caring and active, providing our little one with lots of great activities and stimulation. Fedra is super flexible regarding days, which is very important when being self employed.
We love her bilingual setting with a lovely garden and out door play area.
All the best to greatest childminder in the Battersea/Vauxhall area!

I discovered Fedra bot long time ago and she was and is brilliant. her house is engaging and full of activities. my kids always has lots of fun there. it's almost a shame that they go full time to school nursery and only attend there in the afternoons now and then. They eat well there too. I would recommend Fedra to anyone.

Fedra is like our grandma, my little son Martin stayed with Fedra when I was on a show in London and he absolutely adored Fedra and her family! She's competent, caring and super-ready to help! I vouch for Fedra and highly appreciate her childcaring experience.

Fedra is a lovely childminder, my son is 4 and been with her just over a year now. He has adapted very well and loves Fedra dearly. Fedra is very organised and has dedicated her home to the children. I was very surprised and happy how quickly my son adapted to the new settings. Fedra has a kind heart and is always happy to help you with information about things. The children really Love Fedra, she provides nutritious snacks for the kids, when I pick my son up he’s always excited about the time he’s had and different meals or games he’s had or played. I feel happy and comfortable leaving my child at Fedra’s house and believe my son will continue to have a fantastic time there.

Fedra is a lovely childminder, my son is 4 and been with her just over a year now. He has adapted very well and loves Fedra dearly. Fedra is very organised and has dedicated her home to the children. I needed a someone to look after my 12 month old when I went back to work. I hadn't got a full time space at the crèche at work and I trawled the internet for days. Something about Fedra's profile stood out and it was her genuine love for looking after kids. My son fell in love with her immediately and not once did I worry about whether my son was ok or not. If she didn't live too far away from my workplace I'd have stayed with her. My crèche is subsidised and is at work but I do miss Fedra and I'd have picked her over my work crèche any day. I just don't have the time to pick him up. I miss her a lot because I knew she could provide a certain amount of love and care in my absence. She hasn't looked after any babies before my boy but I visited and saw how her kids were with her and vice versa. I immediately trusted her. You're in brilliant hands with Fedra. We definitely miss you and love you.

I will never be able to recommend Fedra enough! She is an excellent carer! She is not only very professional and highly skilled but also very loving, kind and caring!!
My son has never been so happy!
I have tried to send him to other carers and nursery before but he was crying and he seemed not happy at all....
However, with Fedra he has NEVER CRIED!! From day 1 he was so happy and confident!! he was smiling waving bye bye to me and he is always so happy to see her and the other kids she care for!
With Fedra you can really feel that she is genuinely there to help you and your son to have the best...
I need also to mention that my son has some speech and language delays and some behavioral issues and I was so positively surprised to know that Fedra is also highly skilled and experienced in regards to it!
She use a positive approach filled with love and hugs while she also keep boundaries and give kids little chores and house rules!
My son has been there for only 3 months and he made already huge improvements especially with his language and social skills.
I absolutely love the space too! especially the outdoor one! Apple and pears trees, strawberried etc... and many many funny games and activities to do!!
Fedra also provides nutritious and varied meals for my son which he thoroughly enjoys and has helped to develop tastes for new foods.
I genuinely could not have found somebody better than Fedra! Whenever I leave my son to her I genuinely feel to have left him to my family...actually better than family because she is very professional and highly skilled too!!
