Welcome to Acorns to Oaks Childminding. I have recently been graded Good by Ofsted and the report can be found on the Ofsted website. I am a Communication Friendly Home Learning Environment setting. Only a few childminders nationally hold this status. I do NOT offer temporary spaces.

I currently have NO spaces available.

Let me tell you a bit about me and my family. We have 4 children aged 24, 21, 19 and 11. The older children are all boys and our youngest is our daughter. We live in a detached house in Bobblestock and have a playroom and an enclosed garden. There is a local shop, park and walks.

I had been a carer for the elderly for many years but following the birth of our daughter I needed and wanted to change direction. I helped to run a playgroup and thoroughly enjoyed this so took my career on this new path. I registered with Ofsted June 2017 and I have recently had my first inspection which am very pleased to say resulted in a Good rating. I have experience in care and obviously childcare as a mum of 4. I have paediatric first aid training, food hygiene level 2 and safeguarding training as well as the childminder training.

I am part of Herefordshire Childminder Association for extra support, training and to enhance the environment for children to improve chances of making new friends and for that social aspect. We have taken part in many activities as an association. Some of these include pumpkin picking, owl and birds of prey displays, little blue elephant morning, the coop, little bugs day, Christmas parties, and soft play sessions. All of which have been childminder only events. I have experience of seeing children from birth to school to allow continuity of care until school and if at Wellington Primary School afterwards also. I offer 2, 3 and 4 year funding stretched and term time only.

I receive very positive responses and reviews from current parents. I aim to provide a childcare service that allows your child to be in a home from home environment whilst still learning the curriculum of the eyfs. We visit playgroups, soft plays, farms and woodlands.

I have a bright playroom, a fully enclosed garden, a 7 seater car with new car seats (I do not buy second hand car seats), one of my car seats is extended rear facing suitable. I have many resources from baby toys, arts and crafts and toddler toys such as small world, role play, and a mud kitchen.

• Childminding from £5.00 per hour

Fees are from £5 per hour and include most outings, all snacks and drinks.
