About Me
My name is Fola, I’m married with a 9 years old son. We are a very friendly and welcoming family and love having a house full of young children. I am very friendly and easy-going person
My passion is to help children become independent learners, raise their confidence and teach them to be proud of themselves socially and emotionally through their developmental stages. I will support children to be enthusiastic about learning by familiarizing them with the Early Years curriculum before entering mainstream school, assisting them in exceeding their full potential.
I aim to apply my knowledge when working from home, by allowing children to get the best individual attention they deserve. I will promote curiosity and encourage critical thinking through investigation and a variety of activities indoors and outdoors. The advantage of having small groups in a home setting allows each child to receive the same quality teaching and experience as they do in a school however, in this case, in a homely environment and at a pace that suits the individual child.
I aim to provide an atmosphere that will promote a multi-cultural and diverse setting. This will be done through various activities e.g food, creativity and celebrations.
Safeguarding children’s well-being Is of utmost importance in my setting and on trips. Encouraging healthy eating and physical activities will be vital and children will have very little screen time. I believe active learning is a more lasting way of retaining information. I will use my creative skills to make a fun environment and an inviting atmosphere, to encourage both boys and girls to use and enjoy all the areas of learning. Making sure they have an exciting and memorable experience. I aim to make sure children feel safe, secure, feel loved, valued and cared for, while in my presence.
Parents views, concerns and advice will always be valued and taken on board to ensure that your children receive the best possible care to protect their well-being.
My Experience
I have gained experiencing by caring for my younger brothers, also gained good experience looking after my own son and been a Sunday school teacher for the last 9 years. I have lots of experiences in childcare, as I worked as a teaching assistance while was in university doing my first degree in Psychology. I have also looked after other children on a voluntary basis. Thus, I have gained a vast experience in Multicultural care, Special Educational Needs, outdoor play and indoor play, where children are given the opportunity to learn through play, by engaging in different types of educational resources and activities.

Aunty Fola is very caring by nature I feel very coming comfortable leaving my children. This setting has various activities, very safe area and fun for the children. Aunty Fola is amount the best Childmider I have used so far. I give her the top ratings for her flexibility and understanding. Thanks for your continued good service to us and and my family.

Fola is very approachable, committed, reliable, and even goes beyond to ensure that my son is well looked after.
The environment is always clean and hazard free and Fola has gone beyond to ensure that covid 19 measures are in place.
Safe environment for children with lots of children’s toys books.
I cannot fault Fola’s services but I am thankful for this new childcare setting as she is flexible.

Worst childminding service I've come across.
This lady turned up late to pick up my daughter in the morning and drop her off late to school, she didn't feed my son and when I decided that I won't use her for more than two days I've already agreed with her on she message the following morning stating she won't be coming. Because I choose to not use her service anymore. She didn't fulfill what she'd already set out to do. Then when I tried to make a review after the awful ones she already had. She blocked me on the childcare website so I couldn't comment. I even made a new profile and she blocked me on there too. I would like people to know what kind of person they are getting involved with. I would even like to see her response to my review.

Thanks you for the review however, I do not believe that you are qualified or in a position to leave a review due to the fact that you have only been with me for less than 8 hours. Right from the beginning when you visited my settings, you arrived upset, you informed me that your previous childcare provider did not fulfil your service expecting. You had nothing positive to say about your previous provider. I did everything possible to meet your expectations and I am confident in the services I provided for you. It became apparent to me that you had no intention of paying your fee as you failed to make the deposit which I inform you of on the very first day and to date has yet to receive payment for the service I had provided for you. In addition you terminated the contract and made unreasonable request within 7 hours of attending my setting.
You accused me of dropping your child of late where in fact you provided me with the wrong address however after eventually receiving the right address and directions from you I was able to drop Your child off on time even though you claimed that I was late which is absolutely wrong. Your son enjoyed the time he spent at my setting because he was all smiles playing in the gardening and participated in other activities. You stated that I did not feed your son which again is another false accusation. You asked me if he ate and I told you that he did but not a lot.
You requested to change the contract from childminding to baby sitting, I decline as this is not the service that I offer. In addition I informed you that to do so will conflict with my main objective as a childminder for the times that you requested and also conflict with service I am currently providing to my present client.
I am now wiser to your antics as it has been brought to my attention that you have continuously use several other name/profiles on childcare.co.uk, reasons for this I do not know however other childminders are aware of you as it was them that brought this to my attention.
I wish you luck and I have no regrets with the service that I provided for you as I will continue to provide excellent service for my clients and other future clients and I will continue to go above and beyond for them.
I am happy with the care Fola provide for my daughter. As a first time mom I found it very difficult to trust anyone on looking after my child. Due to financial commitments I needed to put my baby into childcare quite soon. She's explained me everything before signing the contract. I have been reassured by providing information such as 'how's my daughter been, how has she slept or eaten and etc. I have valued her honesty.
She provides safe, clean, stimulating and caring environment. She is very attentive, plans various of activities, promotes equality & diversity based around the children's specific development needs. She provides me with excellent feedback. She also plans with me different approach or alternative techniques for my daughter, for example if my daughter is not feeling very well etc. My daughter has blossomed since she's been under the care of Fola.
I can see that she has a passion, commitment and a lot of love for children. She is very flexible and understanding. I'm so thankful me and my daughter met her and Cami.
I would highly recommend her.

its my daughter's first time with a childminder and she has settled well at twinkle twinkle montessori, she enjoys the play and activities and learning they do there. Fola is enthusiastic about working with children, i get updates about what my daughter has been up to.
Environment is clean, safe and all covid 19 measures put in place.

The worst childminder ever. I have to leave 4 days with this childminder and That was 4 days to long.
They not teach kids just all day use tv and watching cartoons.
When I ask what activites my son doing one of them tell me cant remember (they just look after my son and two diffrend kids.)
I NOT RECOMMENDING THIS CHILDMINDER.

I think i unfair to leave this kind of review, your child was just with me for four days. He has never been to a childminder, does not speak, and unable to communicate. English is not learnt in 4 days and I can reassure you that your child was well looked after. I also think that due to language barrier you (mum) did not understand the process. I wish you all the best and I hope you get someone who can accommodate you. I in my setting children's wellbeing is paramount.
I almost went with another childminder before stepping into Fola's premises.
Her house is very neat and clean and all Covid-19 guidelines are being observed.
There are plenty of fun and educational activities for my child and he is bound to learn a lot whilst in Fola's care.
Fola is also nice and friendly, so you would definitely feel at ease.

We visit Twinkle Twinkle Montessori last week .I was impressed with all the safety measures: sanitizer machine, temperature taking , baby gates to all the doors.
The place was very clean, spacious, with lots of playing and learning resources.
We like MONTESSORI approach and we booked our place for summer holiday.
