About Me
All year Early years childcare Monday - Thursday.
I have been a Ofsted registered childminder for over 13 years now. I am ideally located on the main road for any families who pass on their commute to work. I live with my husband who is also my assistant, our 2 children 16 & 19 and our 12 year old spaniel Tilly. We have a large secure property with a dedicated playroom and a great outdoor space for your children to explore & investigate daily outdoor learning/play opportunities. We follow the EYFS curriculum in our daily activities and adventures visiting lots of exciting places with plenty of time outdoors. We focus greatly on mindfulness supporting, encouraging & developing all children to become motivated, confident, independent learners!
During our week I attend playgroup with lots of fun activities for the children including religious celebrations, craft, tuff tray sensory play, loose parts play, books, parachute play & games following children’s interests & next steps in learning. I am registered with Forest childcare and we promote lots of outdoor Forest activities at local parks & national trust sites including Dunham Massey, Quarry Bank Mill & Tatton Park. We hold Merlin Discovery passes and we attend Legoland & Sealife Discovery Centre with regular activities, learning opportunities & soft play. We visit local libraries, museums and wider community outings and have daily music & movement, storytime & circle time promoting early literacy & supporting communication & language aswell as StoryBear going home with a child each weekend with books relating to our learning topic . The children love to bake & create to take home and share with their families if their is any left !!!!! We enjoy daily outdoor play and enjoy lovely picnics whilst out on our adventures in the community and wider world giving the children lots of learning opportunities through play!. We have daily music & movement & Storytime.
Diversity & equality is highly promoted and we celebrate different festivals throughout the year supporting British Values xx
I continually try to provide new & exciting activities under the Early Years Foundation Stage for all the children in my care encouraging them to try new things, explore & become self motivated & confident learners through play!!! We have Superstar stickers & Awards given to the children for showing anything from acts of kindness to development milestones supporting & encouraging life long learners!!!
I share our daily visits, outings & experiences through my settings private page including what we have covered, our daily menu for families to be kept up to date and fully informed. Photos & messages for parent partnership which is extremely important in our setting to support your child. Termly learning summaries are completed using the EYFS curriculum linking what your child has achieved, what we are working on together for your child including particular interests.
Healthy morning & afternoon snacks & lunch are included in my fees and food is home cooked & prepared ensuring a balanced and nutritious diet to contribute to growing life long healthy bodies & minds xx
I am registered with Stockport Council and therefore i am able to provide 9 month + funded childcare & I am registered with tax free childcare.
I attend regular courses and webinars ensuring professional development and best practice in my setting.
My latest Ofsted inspection was November 2019 maintaining my consistently GOOD grade since becoming an Ofsted registered childminder.

I was looking for childcare for my 10 month old M last year. I’m a first-time mum and didn’t really know anything about it.
I looked round a few different places but I’m so glad I found Jenny as her setting is warm and personal and she is so bubbly and full of energy and clearly loves what she does.
The whole concept of putting M in childcare was nerve racking for me being a FTM, not knowing how M would take it, byt Jenny quickly made me feel ease and really took the time to do lots of settling in days so M was well established before I went back to work.
It didn’t take long for M to settle in; she absolutely loves going, and clearly is very comfortable with Jenny. Jenny really works hard to ensure each day is full of fun and engaging activities and outings which is just so great for M to be able to experience.
She is really good at communicating all the information we need.
The short of it is that Jenny is fantastic with children and I couldn’t recommend her enough.

I couldn’t recommend Jenny enough, she is amazing at what she does. My son has recently started going to Jenny’s and has settled in amazingly well which I think is a testament to her. Jenny is so approachable, warm, loving and you can tell she genuinely cares about the children that she looks after. She has made going back to work so much easier for me as I don’t have to worry at all as I know my son is well looked after and loves going to hers (his face absolutely beams when I drop him off with her). The daily updates with pictures of the children’s adventures are a really lovely touch and they always seem to be out and about learning and doing different activities which I love.

My daughter has been with Jenny since she was 11 months, when I was looking for childcare I had no idea what I was searching for as a first time mum. As soon as we visited and met Jen we knew straight away that she was a perfect fit for us. Fast forward a year and a half my daughter is still there, I honestly couldn’t ask for a better person to look after my daughter. This is more than just a job to Jen you can tell how much she adores the children and in turn how much they love her. She is always on hand to help me with any questions I have regarding development and even h behaviour at home she is so knowledgable and I trust her advice 100%. The activities they do on a weekly basis is just amazing, my daughter enjoys every moment she is there and has learnt so much from being a baby to a strong willed little girl. Jen constantly goes over and above for the children putting them first always and I couldn’t recommend her any more to any parents looking for childcare.

We have searched a lot of childcare options due to myself going back to work and no family to support us. We found Jenny in the midst of the pandemic and we where impressed with her clear display of making sure our boy would be safe and well looked after whilst still providing a caring and fun environment.
I was nervous to hand my boy over as he has not stayed with anyone other than myself so far. At 7 months within 5 mins, Jen was sending me a pic of my baby having fun. He didn’t even notice I’d gone. When I picked him up he was in such a happy mood.
Jenny was very reassuring and answered all of my questions.
She has been flexible and always fills me in on what he has learned, what he liked and I completely feel relaxed knowing she is on board to help us.
Could not recommend this lady enough.

Jenny came recommended to us when we found ourself in a position where Grandma could longer help us with after school childcare. Grandmas shoes were big ones to fill but from day one Jenny made Will feel so at home and made him feel like one of the family. She has a lovely warm personality and is loving towards the children but also firm and has high expectations of their behaviour which mirrors what we do at home. Her home is a fabulous environment for fun and learning and in the 4 years she's looked after our son we haven't had a moments worry about anything. Jenny is flexible as much as possible and her communication is great so we always know what they've been doing.
We couldn't have hoped to find anyone better!

My daughter has been with Jenny since she was 7 months old, she's now nearly 4 and a half. Jenny has supported us every step of the way through her early development and has played an intergrual part in producing the well manored, sociable, inquisitive young lady she is today. My daughter loves going to Jenny's house and after nearly 4 years it is like a second home. Jenny provides excellent home cooked food ensuring that the children in her care are introduced to a variety of different foods including lots of fruit and vegetables. Days are never dull from trips out to playgroup or the park to home based arts and crafts, baking and imaginative play. The facilities both inside and out in the garden are excellent. I cannot recommend Jenny highly enough she truly cares for every child in her care and would go the extra mile to support their development.

Jenny has been looking after our little girl for 3 and a half years, since she was 11 months old.
After spending a lot of time considering our childcare options, we knew as soon as we met Jenny that she would be the perfect person to care for our daughter. She is such a friendly and positive person, who obviously views child minding as much more than just a job. Jenny provides the children with excellent indoor and outdoor provision that is fun and based on the children's needs and interests. The children have access to a fantastic range of resources, activities and experiences. My daughter has always been happy to go to Jenny's house and has a lovely relationship with Jenny and the other children.
Jenny has excellent communication with the parents and we are always fully aware of our daughters achievements, progress and next steps. Jenny has been extremely supportive in dealing with some medical and allergy problems that we have experienced.
We would happily recommend her to anyone who is looking for first class child care in a caring environment.

Jenny has provided a superb setting for my children over the last three years. My daughter and son have enjoyed every minute with her, from being of preschool age and carrying out so many fantastic activities (and visiting places) to being taken and collected from school. Jenny always greets them with a huge smile, asking them how their day has gone! As a mum you feel confident and happy that your children are getting a caring, nurturing, 'home away from home' experience.

Jenny and Andy have both been amazing with my little one. They were able to accommodate my hours at work and I hope to increase her time there. My little one loves going to play (and chase Tilly) and she comes home with some lovely artwork for my wall!
Jenny keeps in touch about everything she does and it's lovely to see the pictures of her so happy. Jenny talks about my little one in such a nurturing way and I can see that she has come on so much since being there. Would highly recommend x x x

Excellent childminder would highly recommend.
Both Jen and Andy are fantastic and have looked after my little one since she was 8 months old. They have been fantastic with her allergies and are extremely flexible. They have an excellent child friendly setting and do lots of activities in and away from there home. My little one loves going I couldn't ask for more.
