West End Playgroup and Forest School was rated Outstanding in all areas by Ofsted in April 2022 for the third successive time. Established in 1975 and located in the picturesque village of West End in Esher our playgroup and forest School sessions provide a stimulating and nurturing environment for all children from 2 to 5 years old. The playgroup is run by a dedicated team who are well qualified with many years of experience and who operate with a key person approach to the care and education of all children who attend. We have three play areas comprising two indoor areas for creative and messy play and an outdoor area with bikes, cars and scooters. In addition to the large variety of activities available, we also offer a structured program of weekly topics including science, farms, people who help us to name but a few. Our daily routines include: key person circle time, snack time, music & movement, messy play, nature walks and forest school.
We arrange outings to Legoland, Bocketts Farm and organise visits from key members of the community including the Fire Service.
West End Playgroup is a not for profit organisation and has an active parent committee who organise social and fundraising events.
Playgroup for children aged 2 to 5 year.
Monday to Thursday: 7.30 am to 5pm
Breakfast Club 7.30am to 8.30am
Morning session 8.30am to 12pm
Afternoon Session and Forest school 12pm to 3.30pm
Teatime club 3.30pm to 5pm
15 & 30 hours free playgroup for all eligible children. Free Early Education for Two year olds (FEET) available.
West End Playgroup is a Registered Charity and OFSTED Outstanding pre-school.

We have been so happy to send our boys here. All the staff are incredible and they always have a fun time. The playgroup offer forest school sessions on Esher common which the boys love. They do crafting, baking, games, songs, stories, everything that they could ever want and more!

Really fantastic place. I have put my daughter in a couple of different childcare settings and the playgroup has been the best by far. The staff are all very experienced, mums themselves, and all longstanding and I think that really makes this place stand out as much better than most. My daughter does so much there and I am confident that she is very well looked after. Totally deserving of the ofsted outstanding rating!

I am so pleased with the playgroup for my son. They are such a caring group so I truly know my son will be looked after when I drop him off. Most importantly he has so much fun and learns lots too!
They stand out from other places for their lovely staff that have been there for a long time and the amazing forest school!!!
