About Me
My name is Samantha, I have been a Registered childminder for 7 years now and had my second ofsted graded inspection in December 2024 and I kept my GOOD
I currently live in Chertsey with my husband and our young daughter and son.
I have been involved in professional childcare for over twenty years. This currently includes experience with children from birth to twelve years of age. I am caring, creative, organized, trustworthy, reliable and fun however can be firm but fair in situations that require me to do so.
I chose to follow a career in professional childcare for the pride and achievement associated with the development of young people. I find it extremely rewarding to contribute my knowledge and expertise during an extremely influential period of any young person’s life, helping towards a great start into their older years.
My Experience
I have been a nanny for the past twenty years and have looked after eight family's in this time. Two of the jobs have been a nanny share. I have experience with children aged from birth to twelve years and in all of the jobs these I've looked after up to three children.
I enjoy doing a full range of activities to stimulate children in my care for their daily needs and development. I also like to plan day trips out to museums and farms partaking in learning activities on our trips
My Qualifications
I have an NNEB qualification in childcare and education and have also attended the introduction to childminding course. I am currently pediatric first aid qualified which was renewed in August 2024, safeguarding renewed January 2024and have an up to date DBS.

I do Nursery and school pick up and drop offs at pyrcroft Grange school Chertsey, were my own children attend, but currently full for school pick ups.

Sam was the first person I left my son with, other than family, and he has always been so happy to go with her and has never cried. He often doesn’t want to go home when I pick him up! Sam is a calm and caring person who creates a wonderful, fun and safe environment for the children. My son is so happy with Sam and often talks about her at the weekends 😊 thank you Sam xx

My daughter has been with Sam since she was 10 months old, she is now 3. Sam is kind and caring and builds amazing attachments with the children in her care. Sam offers a home from home environment with age appropriate toys and learning activities.
My daughter is well stimulated through the exciting and fun learning opportunities Sam provides.

We moved to the area two years ago so we were of course worried about our daughter (then 2, now 4) settling into childcare. Going to Sam’s was never a problem and she still goes before/after nursery and for some of the school holidays.
Quite often when I go to pick my daughter up, she asks if she can stay for longer - that says it all really! She loves playing with Sam’s lovely children and comes home with some wonderful drawings and crafts.
I would very much recommend Sam - we are lucky to have found her.

Sam has been my children's childminder for over 4 years. My daughter started when she was 2 and settled in so quickly. She stayed with Sam until she went to school and she now goes for after school one afternoon. My son started when he was 8 months and he was so happy at Sam's I didn't worry about going back to work. He is now 3 and still attends twice a week.
Sam is patient, loving and fair. Both my children did so much in her setting from structured home activities, free play, garden fun and trips out. I'm so happy they got to attend her setting before nursery and school.

Sam has had my children for many years, giving them a safe happy environment, treating them as if they were her own children. I can’t rate her highly enough. My children love her and only cried when I came to take them home!
