About Me

Hello families!

My name is Eden, I’m 30 and living in Apsley, Hemel Hempstead and I am a nanny. I have over 15 years experience in childcare. I have my own car and a clean driving licence.

Please send me a message and I can email you my CV & other documentation.

I am looking for a position 2 days a week, preferably Wednesday and Thursdays as my son attends a term time nursery on those days. hours 9-3. However, if you are flexible with me bringing my son with me I am happy to work other days in the week.

Please see references below from previous families.

Working with children I give clear guidelines that promotes positive behaviour patterns. I am a happy, fun and caring individual who loves working with children, encouraging them to learn and try new things. I take my role seriously and take pride in my work.

I am organised and creative. I am patient, understanding, respectful and reliable. I enjoy messy learning activities and being outdoors in all weathers. Trips to the park, the zoo, museums, garden centres, pets at home, and soft play.

It’s great teaching children through play and encouraging them to use their imaginations. I find working with children very rewarding!

I have assisted with babyled weaning, NG tube feeding & potty training. I have looked after children with additional needs such as Down syndrome, Autism and ADHD. I have worked with dietary requirements and a vast of different allergies. I have attended a rage of different classes. I am happy to prepare and cook meals. I enjoy cooking different healthy balanced meals and doing Baby led weaning following Rebecca Wilson and her recipes in the ‘What Mummy Makes’ book.

I am a non smoker and I am fine with all pets.

Rodden Family-
Eden has looked after our little boy for the past year since he was 10 months old. As a new mum I wanted to make sure I felt comfortable not only with a new nanny’s approach to my baby but also that I could work / get on with them too. Eden immediately made me feel at ease, her calm and kind demeanour in the first moments of meeting carried on the entire way through her working with us. Eden is hard working, reliable and kind. She finds fun things to do including indoor arts and crafts play, reading and singing as well as taking Joey out in nature and to the zoo, playgroups, playgrounds and museums.

Eden was always on hand to be flexible to our needs which was greatly appreciated as I got used to working again. She would send photos throughout the day and give me updates on what Joey had eaten and enjoyed. All of these touches meant that I was constantly reassured of how well Joey was being looked after.

I completely trust Eden with my little boy and his relationship to her and her little boy Buddy is testament to the nurture she puts into her work.

I would recommend Eden to any family. We are very sad to be saying goodbye to her.

Price Family -
Choosing Eden to be our nanny is one of the best decisions we’ve made for our family. Not only is Eden professional and extremely reliable, she is also incredibly gentle, nurturing and intuitive with our children.

Eden primarily looks after our son (Henry, 3). She also looks after our daughter Emilie, 6, during the holidays.

From the very beginning, Eden took the time to get to know Henry, observing him and asking us questions about his personality, interests and needs. It was no surprise that Henry made a connection with Eden so quickly (he fondly calls her ‘Auntie Eden’) and he is always delighted to see her (and Buddy!) when she arrives at the house.

Eden always ensures Henry has a fun, engaging and creative time. She takes him and Buddy on all sorts of outdoor adventures (and doesn’t seem put off by the weather!) including: local farms, zoos, museums, libraries, soft play and playgrounds. They read books in the woods, feed ducks by the canal, and go scootering. At home, Eden is particularly creative and Henry gets involved with activities like: crafting, making pirate ships, sand play, water painting, drawing, baking dinosaurs and reading – which are fun and educational.

When Henry is upset or unwell, he will turn to Eden for comfort and affection. In these situations, Eden is particularly attentive.

She also keeps me regularly updated and sends a lovely ‘photo journal’ at the end of the day.

Initially, I was sceptical about the idea of having a nanny with their own child but I was very much mistaken! The fact that Eden has Buddy with her has brought a whole new energy and joy to the house. Henry adores Buddy and spending time with him has been extremely beneficial in terms of making new connections and his social development. I would recommend Eden to any family.

Whittle Family -

Eden’s primary responsibility is looking after my 16month old son - managing his routine of feeds and naps in between working on development through play. Felix has Down Syndrome, so Eden has adapted to specific play styles and activities to best support his learning and development, including learning Makaton and working on physio exercises. Felix has also had a fairly complex feeding journey and was NG tube fed when Eden started, but she was amazing at helping us get him off the tube and is now supporting him with his transition to solids. Eden takes Felix to two play groups each week with Buddy, and has also helped with cooking meals and odd jobs when we’ve taken Felix out on the days she works.

Eden is sole charge of our 2 children. Felix 16months from 9-5pm, and our 3.5 year old Raff before / after school. My husband or I are usually also around in the day as one of us tends to work from home. However we do both work in the office once a week.

Eden also does help with other duties around the house without being asked such as, loading and unloading the dishwasher, she empties the bins and keeps the children’s toys tidy. She’s really diligent and efficient with getting everything done. She always looks to complete tasks voluntarily that she see’s might be helpful to us.

Eden has cooked meals when we’ve taken Felix out on the days she’s been working and she has always followed instructions well and the meals have been great! She’s also been really supportive of Felix’s feeding journey, as mentioned above. Eden feeds her own son, Buddy, with Felix - and Buddy always eats nutritious, healthy meals.

The thing I value most about Eden is that she is very transparent and a great communicator. If there is ever anything she’s not clear on she proactively asks so she knows she’s acting in our interests. And if she ever has any concerns or vice versa, we can always address them quickly and openly to get to a resolution that works for everyone.

Eden is incredible with Felix. They have a great relationship and she’s helped him develop so much. As Felix has a lot of developmental exercises Eden works on each one with him and has always been excellent at taking this on.

With our older son Eden disciplines in a really positive manner - reinforcing positive behaviour and not dwelling too much on any negative behaviours.

I would recommend Eden wholeheartedly. She is Patient, calm, honest, resourceful, trustworthy and respectful of routines.

Barnes Family -
I have known Eden since my daughter was 9 months old (she is now 7) as Eden was her key worker whilst at Flowerpots Day Nursery. She was gentle, caring and loving and always thought about creative ways of engaging children so young. Eden always has a smile on her face and as a first-time mother helped ease both mine and my daughter’s transition away from one another. When my daughter moved out of the baby room, she was incredibly sad to part from Eden.

Additionally, I have used Eden as a babysitter for my two children who absolutely adore her and look forward to her visits. With her calm approach she is a natural with children. My youngest (who did not know Eden from nursery), immediately took to her and repeatedly asks when she is next coming. When babysitting, she captivates them with her storytelling and songs.

Eden is trustworthy, reliable and accommodating. I have no hesitation in recommending her.

Douglas Family -
I first met Eden when she worked at Flowerpots Day Nursery in Aspley, Hemel Hempstead. Eden was my baby daughter’s key worker when she started nursery at 12 months old. Eden and Georgia struck up an instant connection and Georgia loved going to nursery. Eden was always very friendly and patient when I collected Georgia; explaining how her day had been in her care. She took real delight in telling me the funny things that Georgia had said and done and in turn both me and my husband enjoyed all of the interactions with Eden.

When Georgia’s brother Rory started nursery, Eden looked after him back in the baby room and I was thrilled that she was still working so closely with my family. Eden kindly babysat privately for me a number of times. She was always punctual and followed the children’s’ routine but also added in a bit of fun for them which in turn made them behave for her and they were always well rested the next day!

I have since had another baby and I am looking forward to reinstating our regular babysitting. I would not hesitate to leave my young baby in Eden’s care. Coming from a large family she has a natural talent with young children and is just a lovely person to be around. I would not hesitate to recommend Eden.
