Hello, I'm Little Stars childminding, an Ofsted Outstanding childminder with six years of teaching experience. I am an enthusiastic and friendly person, committed to providing warm, safe and fun home-from-home childcare.

After six years as a Secondary School English Teacher, I decided it was time for a change after starting our own family. I have worked to provide quality education across ages 10-18 as an Outstanding teacher, with a specialist focus in Literacy. I have now been childminding for seven years and have loved helping children of different ages grow and develop.

I live in a quiet cul-de-sac in Chippenham with my husband and two young sons, and our guinea pig, Penny. Our lovely family home has a fully enclosed garden and is set up with children in mind, with plenty of space for indoor and outdoor play. We also are lucky enough to have an allotment just behind our house which makes a fabulous learning space for children to help grow their own food.

I use my background in education to provide a quality childcare service, where children grow and shine as individuals. As a childminder, I follow the Early Years Education Framework just the same as any nursery. However, with a home-setting you can be assured that your child will feel settled and well cared for, receiving more one-to-one attention.

I aim to work closely with parents in a productive partnership with your child's best interests at heart. At Little Stars, children are encouraged to develop through the seven areas of learning, with child-led play enriched by stimulating resources and activities planned for your child's age and stage of development.

Most importantly, we have a lot of fun! We enjoy plenty of adventures, learning about the world around us through getting outside in the fresh air. We are lucky to be able to enjoy the use of local woods, our National Trust Membership and parks on our doorstep. We build social skills by meeting others at childminding and toddler groups too.

I accept the government funding from the term after your child is 9 months, please speak to me about how this works. There may be a small extra charge for food. I work Monday - Wednesday 7.30-5.30.
