About Me
My name is Zainab Black, I am an Ofsted registered childminder living with my son. We live in a clean bright comfortable flat just off Wandsworth Road and. I have easy access to these Parks, Vauxhall City Farm, Oasis Children Nature Garden, Battersea Park Library, Yvonne Carr Stay Play Centre is also next door, where your children will explore and enjoy many different activities. Being the first daughter in a diverse African culture, I helped in the up bringing of my siblings including nieces and nephews which has enriched me with the experience needed to be a good childminder, as well as being a beautician enabling me with great transferable skills such as good listening, massaging and more .
Your child's growth and development is of the utmost importance to me, therefore every activity is aimed and designed to support, promote, teach and aid each child's development according to their age and stage, including parental participation. My setting promotes and offers a home from home environment, where children feel happy and relaxed in order to flourish and archive their proposed goal, which is to be school ready as well as understanding how to self regulate; their as personal, social and emotional development. Your children's safety and protection is very vital therefore, assessment and monitoring will be made on daily basis before every outing.
My Experience
I would consider myself to have a caring nature, patient, loving, reliable, flexible and trustworthy. I offer a warm and safe environment for children to flourish. Children in my care will learn through different play such as sensory play, British values, story time, music time, circle time, arts and craft, children’s centre, soft gym, messy play, dancing, and trips to local activities. All activities will be tailored, to individual child needs including parental participation throughout the seven areas of children’s development and shared accordingly.
Within my setting I follow the EYFS framework which includes planning your child’s development and activities which are age appropriate. I will observe your child, which will show indicate the level of their development at different stages and prepare their next step. If he/she is in need of extra support, I will be able to provide this support.
I offer a settling in period. These sessions are essential time for you and I, including the children, to get to know each other and familiarise with their new environment.
I welcome children from all backgrounds. Activities and cultures are reflected in the toys, books and images at my setting. In addition, trips will be made to places such as Museums, Farms and Libraries for the children to explore their understanding the of the world, communities, arts & crafts, including different animals, their contribution and benefit to all of our lives. In conclusion your child's welfare is paramount whilst in my setting to make them feel well loved and cared for.
I will be able to do school runs to and from these on Newtown Prep and St Mary's Primary School on Battersea Park Road including St George's Primary School Thessaly Road.
Buses 77, 87,452, 344 and 156 from Vauxhall and Clapham Junction.
Trains Station Battersea Park, Nine Elm, Battersea Power, Wandsworth and Vauxhall Station.

Homebase-care and Safeguarding Children for Early Years.
Level 3 Paediatric First Aid.

My Availability
I am available as soon as possible from Monday through to Friday. Opening hours are 8.30 am to 6.30 pm this can be flexible and some occasional weekends.

- Babysitting from £15.00 per hour
From £13 an hour including food
School and home pick up and drop off are from £15 each way depending on distance
I have an availabity now for school pick ups from St George's primary Thessaly road, Griffin primary Stewart's Road, Heathbrook primary Wandworth Road and St Mary's primary school battersea park road
