My Experience

I'm Lucy, I currently work full time for a family as a nanny/housekeeper/pa and I run their holiday let too! So it’s a busy job which I love but I’m looking for something where I can earn more money as I’ve just bought a house and I love to travel too so need to be able to afford to live but also have a good life too!

I am a very caring and loving individual, I will always go out my way to help others. I love animals, sports, arts and crafts and music (although I cannot play an instrument... yet!).

In terms of experience with children, I started helping my mother teach dance to children at her dance school when I was about 15 and ever since then I have enjoyed working with children. At 18 I went to university to study Children, Young People and Families. Whilst studying I worked at a nursery and after school club to gain experience and also fund my university life. I then relocated back home and worked in another nursery for just over a year and then decided to get a job as a SEN teaching assistant. I worked at the primary school for 3 years and absolutely loved it, the only reason I left was to travel in New Zealand. I worked as a nanny in New Zealand for a few weeks for extra money and somewhere to stay which was a fun experience!

When I returned from travelling I got a job as a nanny for two children ages 4 and 8, where I worked for 4 years. The only reason I don’t work for that family anymore is because both children went to private school and the hours are so long that it didn’t warrant having a nanny anymore sadly.

I am a ‘Jill of all trades’ and happy to get hands dirty, whatever needs doing I will get it done! I currently do the gardening, ride on mowing, cleaning, cooking for children, taking the children to nursery and leisure activities, dog walking, help on the farm, manage bookings and guests for holiday let, a bit of invoicing and office work… the list goes on!

I am looking for a lovely family I can work for long term as it breaks my heart every time I have to leave a family, not sure how much more I can take!

My Qualifications

10 GCSEs
4 A levels
2:1 BA honours degree in Children, Young People and Families

My Availability

Preferably Monday to Friday but negotiable dependant on position, hours and pay.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £15.00 per hour
• Nannying from £15.00 per hour (gross)
