Welcome to Lisa Poppins Childminding!
Just a little bit about me and my childminding biz ...
I provide a safe, loving and very fun home from home environment for all my little mindies to enjoy. I encourage children’s learning through play, with lots of opportunities to develop their skills, development and individual interests.
I plan a wide range of activities, in and out of the house, and we do a lot of exploring, so my mindies will get to experience all sorts of excitement from world around us.
We do lots of baking, trips out, messy play, arts & crafts, play dates, soft play, parks, farm, zoo, swimming, playgroups, picnics - the list is endless!
I follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum to plan each activity for my mindies to develop all of their precious skills.
I encourage healthy eating so all meals and snacks are homemade and full of delicious goodness. I like to encourage my mindies to make healthy food choices as they grow. Breakfast, lunch, light tea and snacks are all provided. Endless drinks too!
I have a gentle approach to bringing up children whilst setting clear boundaries and encouraging daily routines.
We have lots of giggles and happy faces here, and I form very close & trusting bonds with all my mindies, and of course their parents.
Squishy cuddles are a must in my setting!!
I’m based in Scholars Chase (BS16) - on the Stoke Gifford / Frenchay / Stapleton boarder - near the UWE & MOD.

My Experience
I have 17 years of experience caring for children aged 0-6 years old.
My Qualifications
• Level 3 in childcare & education
• Chic - Childminder Introduction Course
• Paediatric first aid trained
• Ofsted registered - GOOD grading.
• Safeguarding training
My Availability

Next spaces will be available in August 2025.
I'm open Monday - Thursday from 8am to 5:30pm.
Spaces are set at a minimum is 8 hours per day.
I currently don't do any pre-school or school runs.
Spaces run all year around (unfortunately I can’t accommodate for term-time only).

My Fees
- Childminding from £7.50 per hour
I charge £7.50 per hour, per child. This covers everything! (quite literally)
What's included: every meal, snack, drink, outings, daily activities each day. I also provide all bottles, cups, wipes, wellies, waterproofs, bedding and so much more.
It really makes life much easier for every parent, and myself, with less faffing each day and forgetting to pack things (more so me on at pick up time!)
**formula milk powder & nappies are the only things not included**
I provide breakfast, lunch, light tea, snacks and milk every day.

We moved our daughter out of nursery when she was around one years old
She’s been going to Lisa’s for over 2 years now
The love, care and affection she gets is evident-she also has had consistency which we lacked at nursery with our son and her few months there-constant changing of key workers etc
Lisa provides home cooked food, trips and a range of activities
I trust Lisa as a partner to our wider family completely and she’s been there for us through ups and downs we’ve had with what life has thrown at us and we feel completely supported by Lisa and we’re so pleased we found her
