About Me
I have been a registered childminder since 2008, working from home which I share with my husband who is ex forces and our two ( young adult) /children.(My company name is Puddle Ducks childcare).
My Husband and I are originally from Stoke- on-Trent moving to Plymouth in 1994 when we got married, as he was in the navy., he left having served 24 years and now is employed as a civilian for Babcock. (All living on premises over 16's have a DBS check)
I provide regular outings which include the Aquarium, Sparkwell zoo, Woodlands local parks and beaches, libraries and museums etc. making the most of this beautiful city and surrounding area.
I also jointly run a childminder play group where the children can socialise, and I also help at the local church toddler group which the children very much enjoy being part of. (I also volunteer my expertise at Sunday school)
I currently pick up from Hooe primary and all aboard nursery most days and also offer holiday cover for all ages.
I have a dedicated, inviting playroom for the children where they can easily choose from an array of quality toys and learning resources that engage, support and expand development in a play centred environment.
I also have a generously sized garden and various play equipment inc mud/sand water play kitchen, slides, see saw and ride on toys.which is easily accessible from the playroom. With coded gate entrance ./ secure.
I work closely with 2 other excellent local childminders, which provides wider social experiences and acquaints the children with other registered childminders which parents could potentially utilise for holiday cover or shared care options.
My Experience
I have many years experience with all ages of children with differing needs. including hearing problems, speech delay, autism and medical needs working closely with parents and children in each case to achieve the best possible outcomes and support.
I am used to working with other agencies and professional agencies and fellow childcare providers.
My Qualifications
I provide me 2 funding and 3-4 year funding.
I am committed to ongoing development of my skills. Training so far is too many to fully list but includes: SEND, First aid, Elklan lets talk with under 5's
I also have extensive safeguarding training.
NVQ 3 Childcare
FDA ...Degree in Early years graduating in October 2016.
I have a comprehensive policy pack which is available to all clients.
My Availability
My availability is quite flexible dependant on my clients needs. I provide daytime and overnight care options, please contact me to discuss your individual needs as availability does change.

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.00 per hour
I am in line with other childcare providers in my area please call for further information. I offer term time only and holiday cover contracts as well as wrap around all year round cover.fees vary from 4.50 per hour min hours 6hrs.
I do not charge for my own holidays.

Kerry looked after my son from aged 9 months till he started at pre-school. From the outset Kerry was amazing. He was quite clingy as a baby so we did lots of settling in and she was fantastic at making him feel happy and confident (and me as I received messages during the day about all the exciting things he was doing - never easy leaving your little one initially). Throughout my son's time with Kerry he definitely grew in confidence and I am so grateful that she was part of his early life shaping the little boy that he has grown in to. This was the first time I'd used a childminder (my elder children had gone to a nursery). This suited him far better as he got that individual care and I had the upmost confidence that in Kerry he was well looked after. Every day she had something planned, either meeting with other children or going on trips out etc. I would not hesitate to recommend Kerry.

Kerry is the best childminder I could hope for. I have two boys in her care and I wouldn't want them with anyone else, she is like family to us. She provides a safe, warm, loving environment in which they play and learn whilst having fun. My boys love going to Kerry's house, so much that when I tell them that's where they're going they finally agree to brush their teeth and get dressed!
Kerry is professional, informative, flexible, kind and compassionate. We are so lucky to have her.

Kerry is a great childminder the kids love her. They go on lots of fun outings and so something different every time.
She is reliable and flexible. She has a good relationship with other local child minders so the children get to play with other children.
