About Me
Hi, I am 51 and live in Antrim town. I run Riverside Explorers with an assistant. I believe children learn best when they are interested and having fun. I do this through being committed to a child's passions, style of learning and character. Although I run a loving and comfortable home from home type of setting, I also follow many characteristics of a nursery. This involves routine, taking observations, planning specifically for the individual learner/child.
My Experience
I have many years of childcare experience, five of which were in a private nursery and 7 years as a childminder. I have been an Outdoor Play Leader and Forest School Leader. I have attended numerous courses over the years - Early reading, Mini Me Yoga, Forest School, Boys learning and Maths for 2 - 4 year olds, to mention but a few. I love the outdoor classroom and the weather will not stop us from getting out and about exploring.
My Qualifications
NVQ 3 Children and Young people. Paediatric First Aid. Health and Safety. Safeguarding Children.
My Availability
I have availability for children under 4yrs and under. We do not do nursery/school pick ups or drop offs.
